Warden pet?

Well the bear is a given.

As for the other animals, my guess is a wolf; one of the many cat models; and crows (ravens whatever they are).

Other potentials are the mastodon (but groups of Wardens focusing those about could be chaotic, due to their sheer size); spiders (creepy crawlies that spring through the air and pounce on you brrr); guar; kagouti; alligators and jackels.

All of these models are already present in game and would provide readily available sources for Warden pets.

I am thinking it will be along the lines of wolves, senches/lions/tigers, nix hounds and durogs. Possibly they will all be of a same type, but a re-skin option/costume.

Correct. The bear is just one of the animals we focused on for the official announcement trailer, but there are other animals through the skill line.

Thanks Gina. Can you tell us how the "Gray Bear" works? Does it simply replace the brown bear in any Warden we make on an account that has the collector's edition, or is it something we can toggle? Can I have two Wardens with bears of different colors?

I am hoping it has something to do with the collections tab, like a combat pets tab, where you can choose a skin for it. This would allow them to put many more skins and possibly allow us to change the animal completely keeping it cosmetic only. For example we could change the bear to appear as a senche or a wolf instead.

This would make me very happy, especially if they apply it to Sorcerer pets eventually too. I would love to have a Harpy instead of a Twilight and maybe a Kagouti instead of a Clannfear.

Just another thought, it would be awesome for a Warden to command a Werewolf. After all, it is a form of wolf.

But then again, the bird pet could be a Harpy too.

Nothing like nice sharp claws rending away at all the critters and flesh bags eh!?

Whole families of cats ya see =^.^=

Skins would be nice way to get variety as long as there are real choices and multiple color variations of same animal.

It would be kinda awesome if we could put a Dire Wolf skin on the bear ultimate. Then I would pretend my mount is fighting with me. It would be so cool.

Wasnt there a quest in the AD zone where the Bosmer have 3 diffrent spirit animals, the wolf, the snake and the (I think) lion. It would be cool to have at least those 3 in adition to the bear.

    It was a Tiger.

There's also a Nord quest with spirit animals. Can't remember what they were though, just that they buffed either speed, offense or defense.

Is there other ultimates but the bear? I mean, id prefer a sabretooth tiger as my ultimate instead of a fat bear.

We could have other morph of the ulrtimate to be sabretooth if you ask me. Though i would still prefer basic senche tiger over anything :)

    Or senche lioness..

    You guys are hilarious..

The bear is THE pet for the warden via animal companions skill line. The various other skills in the tree are almost definitely going to be various animal themed skills like a cliffracer swooping in and dealing damage.

They are not going to be taming anything... They are not going to be running a zoo of active pets and they are not going to be summoning a *** senche lol......

The Chub Loon is clearly the ideal ranged animal companion.

They are not very maneuverable. Even though they can fly very fast they have tiny little tails and basically use their webbed feet for steering. Which doesn't work very well. Once one almost knocked me out of a boat in the Pacific because it didn't have the steering radius to avoid my head. Luckily, I noticed and moved. The look on its face was priceless.

I wouldn't doubt that one of the morphs for the bear ultimate is something other than a bear. The other will be a bear.

I don't think there's going to be a million different pet options.

Wasn't it already verified that the animal line was just animal themed skills and not pets other than the bear ult?

The bear is the ultimate, it is unlikely to change appearance via morphs. Currently the only appearance change we know of is the grey bear skin from collectors edition.

Interestingly, unlike the sorc pets, the warden pet ultimate does not have a specific creature type in the name, it's just "wild companion" or some such. This leaves zenimax free to sell skins for it, probably applied via collections, for offer animal types.

Imagine that, zenimax selling us something incomplete and then charging us for the rest.

From the changes to the Crown Store Pet Section and the Collectors Edition Gray Bear. It looks like skins....Costumes for your bear to wear so you can further customize the character.

    Hey.

I read the details of expansions and even while im all happy happy with the new expansion, the warden pet makes me bit worried.

A bear was only thing mentioned, though i was hoping for a class that can tame itspet, i was skeptical about it but i do hate bears as a pet. My khajit was waiting for senche for example.

Will the warden be limited to only have bear as a pet? Anywhere any knownledge of this?

you can also have a cliff racer

So essentially, the only reason to get the collectors edition is for a re-skin for the bear which they will end up selling different/better ones on the store, and for costumes because even players who don't buy the expansion but are on Plus, will get the warden and bear correct? Oh and the mount and 2 non-combat pets are included in the collectors edition.
