At this point in TES history, the Morag Tong is not as... 'fully functional' as it once was, or later becomes again.
According to Naryu the organization is "on the outs" though still employed by some of the houses.
Since there's possibilities for Morag Tong style armor coming up, maybe a Morag Tong skill line is in the works? I don't think we know all there is to know about what exactly is coming with Morrowind.
It's also possible that this focus on Naryu now is leading us to more Morag Tong specific content come the Q4 content update mentioned in the Road Ahead article.

But with the Dark Brotherhood out, won't it... conflict?... if we were to join the Tong and obtain their skill line?

C'mon, you've seen Cloud Ruler Temple. I'm embarrassed to say I spent at least 2 hours trying to "activate" some way of allowing me to enter Cloud Ruler Temple in Cyrodiil when I was in closed beta.
So are nightblades just a generic assasin class for the game? Or do they specifically come from some part of the lore like dragon knights do?FluffyReachWitch wrote: »The Morag Tong is an organization exclusive to Morrowind. They are also permitted to exist by Morrowind, where the Dark Brotherhood does not have permission from anyone to organize or operate.
In further contrast to the Dark Brotherhood, the Morag Tong carries out lawful "executions". The Morag Tong are incredibly strict about this, its members must work within tight bounds, and they do not tolerate unauthorized executions. So while they're basically assassins, they have different rules than the Dark Brotherhood, and don't work outside Morrowind (with rare exceptions).
As for why they haven't been joinable in ESO, One Tamriel was fairly recent, and it would have been odd to have a Morrowind-exclusive guild until now. The Dark Brotherhood, on the other hand, welcomes heartless, bloodthirsty murderers from all corners of Tamriel.

Why does it seem like Bethesda and ZOS are trying their hardest to remove all traces of this faction from their games and lore?

the Morag Tong were basicly into some pretty serious criminal and illeagle stuff, they got thier "death writs" from a kind of shady but fully legal process, but it was still not truely considered a good House to be a member of. people were generaly scared of any one whom join the Moraag Tong.
in addition to that, it was only a short time after Todd Howard was hired and promoted in Bethesda that the "Dark Brotherhood was introduced, and, they were not joinable as a guild. the Dark Brotherhood only became joinable in Oblivion.

Dark Brotherhood was a joinable faction in TES 2 Daggerfall
And strangely, they were Mephala worshippers back then...

Nightblade is a class that existed in previous TES games. They are actually mages that use their magicks to enhance stealth and assassination, in contrast to the regular Assassin Class
Quick edit: ty for the correction
Maaaaybe... because they are predominantly a morrowind-based dunmer organization, and dunmer while being the best of all races are still only one of ten races in ESO, which kinda covers quite a bit more then merely morrowind in terms of regions? Why isn't the Morga Tong a faction a player can join like the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood? Why isn't there a skill line either? ...
