Has this game improved in the last few months for Xbox one?

I downloaded this game on my Xbox one a few months ago when it had the free play days and it was so bad that I couldn't even make it past character creation without the game crashing. For a game that was out as long as it was I think that's terrible. I want to recommend this game to my friend but he doesn't have a souped up PC and I really don't want to recommend him to buy it on his Xbox one if it's gonna be trash.
Also do PC and Xbox one players play on the same servers?

Voice chat doesn't work on evenings and weekends. You will either be shown you are in chat but somehow it makes a private instance of that chat just for you, or else chat will just keep cycling on and off (Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!), or sometimes it just tells you it's not available. Also group chat frequently disappears from your list of chat options.

It also crashes a lot, still, although at least the crashes are random now instead of in specific locations, so you can at least complete the content that requires going to the places that would always crash.

Sometimes you get stuck on a "this may be your usually long load time" loading screen that never resolves. You have to restart the game for these.

Group finder is a bit funky, sometimes it disbands the group (or at least, tells YOU it disbanded) meaning you get to wait 15 minutes before trying to queue again, and yesterday my random dungeon prompted me to travel to the group leader in Belkarth rather than announcing which dungeon it picked (then suddenly I was not in a group but free to requeue immediately).

And periodically it will kick entire groups from the game, meaning you need to restart your dungeon or trial. But that only happens on weekends, in my experience.

PvP has always crashed frequently. Lately you spawn into the PvE world with the PvP resurrection prompt. You need to either requeue for PvP or find someone to resurrect you with a soul gem when this happens.

Some of the dungeons get a bit buggy, too. My favorite is White Gold Tower, where the spinning lines of shock tend to not despawn so you get that stacked with another phase of the fight (it's most frustrating when it's her shielded bubble with the knock backs) or sometimes after Molag Kena is dead (so you either die from using the portal, or dodge the lines for a minute until they clear).

It also lags periodically, especially when there are lots of AoEs out, especially especially if one of them is the the destruction ultimate.

The red telegraphs of enemies are also frequently misaligned. The circular AoEs sometimes show a smaller diameter than the effect, and the red carpet charges usually point in the wrong direction.

But aside from all that the game is great!
And they finally fixed the invisible enemy issue that had been going on for months, at least mostly, so that's one frustration gone.

    No.

The game itself is fun. I'll always enjoy Tamriel, in whichever form it's released.

But If you compare performance to any other AAA title, it's terrible, and unfortunately takes away from many positives it may provide.

The game runs pretty good except the lags. There are lags in the morning, in the evening, at night. I don't know how this can even happen. Yesterday night playing was pretty tiresome due to lag spikes. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.

My only complaint is the voice chat not working. For some reason I can't get my nat type to work out right so I can't do party so I'm stuck with a glitched chat whenever we raid
May the Schwartz be with you.

No, thankfully. As many developers and players cater to PC gamers as the "Master Race," I think Xbox is a bit more balanced since Animation Canceling isn't nearly as prevalent or even capable in the code as it is on PC.

Community wise, PC will always have a more mature player base. Thirteen year olds and 30 year olds that act 13, can't build $1,200 machines.

Animation cancelling is just as easy on console as on pc. It's nothing to do with the code of the game. Pc just has a far higher amount of people knowkedgeable on the subject. And more people who are likely to try be the best they can be.

Don't recommend it to your friend. Unless they are die hard elder scrolls fans it's too broken to enjoy.

No, I seriously doubt they ever will. The game is just too different on Xbox and PC. Add ons make PC easy mode (and it gets worse by each passing day) and playing with a keyboard vs controller is different too. I know you can play with both each but very few do that I have found. The only way I ever see that happening is if the game population dropped to an extreme low. However dispite what you read on these forums. The game is growing and expanding, so I do not see that happening anytime soon.

XBox One owner. I've played the game since launch and have recently returned after a year's absence (blame Fallout 4 and Skyrim).

When originally launched, it was plagued with issues but that was to be expected since it was a console launch. It took actual days to get in and build a character, let alone play the game.

I've read the comments and I'm not sure what people are talking about. Game crashing? It happened to me twice, ever, and I can guarantee both times were related to network loss, not the actual game.

Lag is subjective, honestly. Depending where you live and the time you play, lag can be a problem, especially in Cyrodiil (PvP). I find it laughable people say this never happens with other AAA titles, because they're lying. It happens with every MMO I've ever played.

If the game crashed on you during character creation, I'd say you had an improper download or install, or you lost network connection during this time.

ANYTIME you lose network connectivity, the game is going to lock you out and go back to the main screen. This isn't a crash. It's designed to be this way. It's the same mechanic which kicks you out of the game if you sit idle too long.
Also do PC and Xbox one players play on the same servers?
Nope, and be thankful for this. The one advantage we console players have is no bots or script cheaters to worry about.

    ***

Now for my overall opinion: I recommend the game to my friends and others every chance I get, as well as warn them of the issues as I described above.

Just note your friend my not agree. To save money, head to Gamestop and buy the game for $20 (even less if you're a Rewards member).

This way, if he doesn't like it, he's only out $20. If he does like it, then tell him to buy at least 5000 Crowns to help support the game, become a subscriber, or buy the little things in the game. ZoS gets nothing of the $20 sale price.

Hope this post helps and good luck.

Sounds like a good thing they aren't on the same servers. Xbox be so broken that it'd likely screw the enjoyment of the PC crowd. And with no ability to cross-platform, I deff won't bother recommending this on xbox, ever.

On a side note, imo Zeni should refund anyone that bought this game on Xbox or at least give them the PC version for free. I hate it when companies churn out garbage and screw people out of hard earned money..
