Basc Morrowind Questions

I have been searching and reading lots of official and junk sites. Mostly it is bling and meaningless. These questions should have been easy to find since there is a HUGE push to sell preorders.
All my questions boil down to what it this new thing and how will it integrate into the current game and my account.

1. Is Morrowind a DLC - NO, it's separate but isn't???
2. Do I need to buy a physical copy of the game and download a separate game?
3. How much free disk space will I need to be able to download and play both ESO and Morrowind?
This is serious and I just needed 96GB free space to download the PTS!
4. What are we going to call the game we have been playing; they both are ESO but the new one is Morrowind?
5. How will Morrowind integrate into the current game; will it play like a DLC where some people won't be allowed to enter the area?
5. Will my characters, gold, mounts, and the future housing be available in to me in Morrowind?
6. Will my monthly subscription increase with Morrowind; do I need to subscribe to both games?

Happy Trails

    1) It's an expansion, meaning eso+ members wont get access to it without buying it. If you already own ESO, you can purchase an upgrade for morrowind.
    2) Nope, you can buy a digital upgrade if you already have ESO
    3) -
    4) The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind (just like now it's The Elder Scrolls Online: One Tamriel)
    5) That's correct, you'll need to buy the expansion in order to go to the new area
5... you put 5 twice) Yes, you'll still be playing ESO, just in a new zone
    6) Your sub will still grant you access to DLC's (IC to SotH), but it won't let you go to morrowind. It is not a new game, just an expansion, so there is only 1 game to sub to

^^ All I can find is this:

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind also includes all the original ESO content, so new players will have access to hundreds of hours of excitement throughout Tamriel. Existing players can choose to carry their characters over to Morrowind, or start fresh on a new adventure with a new face.

Ok as I understand it now, it is like this:

If you have ESO Tamriel, it upgrades to Morrowind or if not getting Morrowind it stays Tamriel.
If new with no ESO Tamriel, you buy the full Morrowind which inclueds Tamriel.

So after all you'll have one game called Morrowind, if you do not get game, you'll still be able to play Tamriel.

I have Tamriel and going for upgrade to Morrwind. Going to transfer characters to Morrowind, I just hope the new Morrowind(which includes Tamriel) is linked to the Tamriel (no Morrowind) server.
Will be sad to transfer and not be able to play with players that did not get Morrowind.

It is not a new server, it is not a new game. Just think of it like a DLC... they just call it an 'expansion' for legal reasons, and to milk more money from people who subscribe anyway, so they will also have to buy it

I am months late to this conversation, so we are going to be able to pass between Tamriel and Morrowind to play with friends who don't have Morrowind?

The way I like to think of it, is that Elder Scrolls Online is an umbrella system. The first module was the game that we're all familiar with so far, even though it went through a couple changes, such as Imperial Edition, One Tamriel, Homesteading, etc. In the form of OT, it's still the first module of ESO. Any of the DLC's associated with One Tamriel are covered by subbing. Next, there will be a second ESO module coming for Morrowind. The term expansion has been used extensively, but I prefer to think of it as a side-by-side module being added to the overall ESO system. This way of thinking about it makes the additional cost a tiny bit more palatable to me, although I still think the expansion price at $40usd is too high.

    - If you are coming to the game brand-new, and you choose Morrowind, it will include both of the modules of OT and MW, and they will be integrated with each other as a single overall game. In fact, I don't think you will be able to get MW as a stand-alone game without OT. You can then come and go as you please between the two modules seamlessly, and you can interact with OT-only players when you are in OT areas. (same bat-gameworld, same bat-channel)

    - If you are new to the game and choose to get just OT instead (if it is even still offered after MW goes live), you would be able to play the game as it exists now, but no access to any MW content. However you will be able to play with others who have MW, when they come to the Tamriel areas, because they are in an integrated environment.

    - If you are already a player and choose not to get MW, then you will continue as is, and you can play with MW players, when they come to the OT areas, but you can't go to MW.

    - If you are already a player , and choose to get the MW upgrade, then it will be integrated into your existing game, and you can then play both modules as if they are one huge game, and you can continue to interact with other OT-only players, but only when you are in the OT areas, because they cannot come to MW.

As far as future DLC's, there have been quite a few discussions, and I've seen nothing official, but it's expected that any upcoming DLC's associated with MW should be covered by subbing, but only if you have MW itself. That's a reasonable assumption/expectation, but nothing has been confirmed in that area.

PS: another example of this umbrella/modular system in the real world would be down in Florida. When it opened up in the early 70's, what is now known as the Magic Kingdom, WAS Disneyworld in its entirety. Now, it is just one module of Disneyworld, along with Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and all the other additions that have come along during the years.
