Not sure about the 4 DLC per year statement either. It could be 4 updates per year that includes free ones like 1T and Homestead.
1t and Homestead are not DLCs. They are changes to the base game. Think of it like this, if you go out and buy the base game from a shop today (well ok, after Homestead is released *g*), would you also need to download additional content to get access to 1T and Homestead?

If you go buy the base game from a shop today, you don't need to download additional content to unlock all the paid DLC either. You just have to pay to unlock it then.

It's NOT the money.
It's the lies/deception.
You've NOT been lied to.
You'll still be getting DLC for free.
What you won't be getting for free is an Expac.
Anyone who has played any MMORPG other than ESO understands the difference.
You buy smart phone, periodically you'll get software and firmware updates for free - DLC.
3 Years down the line they company releases a new model, you don't get that for free - Expansion.

This is very true. However, what if we have been subbed for the past 6 months without receiving the 2 promised quarterly DLCs? Do we not have a right to be a little upset about that? We can indeed unsub, but we won't be getting our money back.

So people are angry about subscribing for years under the impression they will have access to content released in the future and then this expansion is an exception. Why should I continue subbing and supporting Zos if this is the case? What was your thinking behind making this decision? I'm want to know before I jump on the #hatetrain and uninstall.
PS: Yes I will send you guys my stuff if I uninstall.

One question, do other MMOs use this model of voluntary sub plus paid expacs? Did Trion/Rift do this, I can't remember now?
Doom and gloom ! ZoS is out to get us !
Hehe I will continue to sub, buy what I want and don't buy what I want.
Bought the Collectors upgrade, will buy several thousand crowns for housing.
But I guess I should blame ZoS because I am spending my money. How dare them make me do that !
Yes, almost every MMO does this, it is completely normal.
Morrowind is a new game. If you do not own ESO, Imperial City, DArk Brotherhood, Thieves guild, Orsinium, or anything at all and you purchase Morrowind you can pop it into your console and start playing right away. Because it is a completely new and standalone game.
It is baffling to me that people would expect a new expansion to be free.

Heck almost every game does this. When you own Call of duty, and Call of duty: Black ops comes out, you do not get it for free, it is new game.

Since 1996's Warcraft 2: Beyond the Dark Portal releasing an entire game's worth of content to add onto a title, has always come with the understanding that the player would have to purchase it. It is baffling to me that people would expect a new expansion to be free.

I think this just sets a bad example for the future now they will be calling all there DLCS "expansions" so they can sucker people to pay for a monthly eso+ sub and dlc separately
I really don't mind I payed for every dlc out right (execpt SOTH) and only buy eso+ when I fell like the game is fun and working .
