Homestead will knock our doors soon. Morrowind was just announced, the hype is high, and in a blink of an eye, June will be there. You got your gold granted.

Now let's talk about us, the players. No one likes to play in a unbalanced game, servers with lots of lag, mechanics that simple don't work, substantial differeces between classes, useless crafted sets(except a couple ones), unrewarding crafting, incoherent RNG.

We got a lot of flaws right now, I suppose this isn't intentional and you are working on it. Are you?

You want people to play your game, you want to profit, you want to watch over the name The Elder Scrolls. I suppose it's time to make things right, i'm sure we can agree on a mid term that bennefits us all, you got a solid and large community, use it, listen it.

Edit: I apologize for any writing mistake. English is not my native language.

You speak as if there is "a balance" and there is no such thing.

IMX the best one can hope for is "equilibrium" where at one time or another, in one circumstance or another each "element" gets its time to shine.

but you will get very different answers about "balance" and "what is best" when you talk 12 man trial pve, 4 man group pve, solo pve, duel/solo pvp, small scale pvp, raids/keeps pvp, zergs pvp etc etc etc... and you will likely see new "balance" issues brought about by the dedicated three-way-dance 4 man group battlegrounds.

Right now across these forums you can find very very very serious threads about how seriously imbalanced:
2h is so overpowered and needs to be nerfed.
dw is too powerful and the 2h weapons need buffs.
magica so far outshine stamina that no one is playing stamina it is basically dead classes now.
magica needs magic uptick to catch stmaina dw dps.

    and many others.

    .......

IMO the approach should be focused on making sure "nothing is best everywhere and everything is best somewhere" kind of approaches over the "six different ways to cook the same numbers."

Right now, precise, sharpened and nirn traits on weapons all focus on doing more damage by changing three different numbers in the same math equation. Every time that happens it boils down to "one is best almost always."

if instead they were say "more damage with direct attacks", "more damage with AOE", "more damage with DOT" each would have its place in different builds.

if instead they were "more damage vs hvy armor and daedra", "more damage vs medium armor and undead", "more damage vs light armor and elementals" again a whole new set of opportunities.

Armor the same way - higher bonuses against sub-set of attacks makes no trait king for every content type.

But that is me. i would not expect many to agree.
