No. It will work just like a DLC I assume.
i heard the same thing and have similar questions - i am not sure it will be "just another zone" either so i am waiting for more info with baited breath.
of course, waited may not be the right term, since i already pre-ordered and will buy it either way.

You can still talk with them, and even group with them, but they won't be able to jump to you if you're in the new zone. Does that make sense?

soooo it is basically a DLC in bigger you don't want to call a dlc because eso+ members would argue that it should be free then? i think you could avoid a lot of confusion if you would just say that it works like a normal dlc you do not get for free or can purchase with crowns. I don't mind paying (again) for stuff like that but just call it by its name

no other high profile mmo releases expansions for free to subscribers. They release content patches for free but not expansions. So am not sure why anyone here would expect it to be free for subscribers?

Wrong.
Star wars the old republic (SWTOR) has free expansions for Subs.

TOR doesn't do boxed expansions, last I checked. They release DLC, and call it expansions.

@ZOS_GinaBruno 's information directly refutes your post. I suggest going back and re-reading what she typed. Your friends do not have to buy it to still group or talk to/with them. They just can't jump to you if you're in an area of Vvardenfell and they haven't bought the expansion.
But you can still group with them and go through old content with them, just like every other DLC/Expansion for the game.
Exactly. The only change is that you're buying this for real money, not real money to buy Crowns and then Crowns to buy DLC.DaveMoeDee wrote: »Uriel_Nocturne wrote: »Enemy-of-Coldharbour wrote: »Sorry, but your friends have to buy it to. It is an expansion, not a DLC.

In short, they can't enter the zone of Vvardendell if they didn't buy it. But Vvardenfell is no different in how it functions than any other zone. Apart from how they get money from you. It is different in that way.

And this is not going to be a "DLC game pack", this is being listed as an "Expansion".ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »You will still be able to talk with your friends if you have access to the Morrowind content, but they only have the base game. because my eso+ says i have access to downloaded content included in it? i don't know any other mmo with this kind of deal. stop whiteknighting zenimax please.
ESO+ says i have Access to all of ESO’s downloadable content (or DLC) game packs (like literally)
I bet i can download Eso Morrowind and it obviously needs the base game (or as they word it includes it)
Not sure what is hard to understand there.
I don't mind paying for it just because it is obviously smth bigger than a normal dlc but people arguing that this is a bit strange can't be denied.

Different designation means different rules apply to Subscribers and non-subscribers.

So are you really arguing that Morrowind is not a downloadable content?
So it is not downloadable and it is not content?
I am not sure why you are arguing with me while i just want to say the terms of ESO+ should be clarified.
I would argue that it would be much clearer if ESO+ would say that you while the membership lasts get access to all playable content purchasable by crowns for free.
