which CP should a player be in , before entering Vet dungeons?

I know it's about which class and many other factors involved, but I've tried joining Vet dungons, and then been kicked before I even come in ( I'm cp 170) .
- not every time , because I pulled of a lot of dthifferent dungeons with different set up. :)

Just wondering, because some seems to think that people under 400 , can't build a DPS right

You can certainly do vet content right out of the gate at 10 points, technically I mean. Back in the day of veteran ranks I was doing v14 scaled stuff since I was v6, just cause I was a healer and my friends were v14.

As far as things go, I recommend waiting til cp160, gives one a nice ground laying of stats. Additionally, other players tend to appreciate being able to trade gear amongst the group and cp160 leaves you at gear cap. Also nice because anything you pick up is something you can save for later if it's in an okay trait.

For the DLC dungeons and vMA I see the number 300 or so thrown around, no particular opinion on that but they are notably harder than other veteran content.

Vet Trials? Eh, luck to you getting into a guild or random group that will like having someone below 561/600 next patch/300 or whatever other amount the leader has in mind.

For most Vet Dungeons, 160 is fine. For the Part 2 Dungeons, 200 or so will do. For Vet CoA II, 250 or so should let you complete it with no issues. For the DLC dungeons, 300 is preferred.

This is all ambiguous. If you know your class well and are willing to learn mechanics, you can do practically any Vet Dungeon.

This is a question that depends upon the Dungeon.
most it really doesn't matter as long as your gear is good.

however don't do DLC Vet Dungeons below 160, it's unlikely to end well.

You can complete them with just 10cp if you are familiar with the game mechanics. So if you have some friends who can explain mechanics to you or if you a group of friends and want to figure them out together, just go ahead and try. Just make sure you do the dlc dungeons last as they have the most complex or unforgiving mechanics.

If you want to join a random group it's more tricky. Some people will either try to help you or simply ignore you (I just did a vet dungeon with a group that was below 100cp. I did ~80% of the groups total dps while kiting the boss and healing myself.)
Others want to get their dungeons done quickly or are insecure about their own skill and kick everyone who is not close to max cp.

If a player is below CP160 they really should be doing normal dungeons unless they have friends/guildies carrying them. It's kind of a jerk move to que for veteran using the group finder when below CP160 as you will likely drag the group down. I don't mean to sound like an elitist, that's just how the group content is designed.

Easy, join a guild, like this one or one on your platform/server

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/283173/friendly-dungeon-runners-looking-for-dungeon-trial-runners#latest

Many threads have been posted about the Sheeple who use the Group Finder only accepting certain CP Ranks. There is even an interesting idea floating around the forums where we just hide our CP Rank or Level. But, that is another debate for another thread.

As you have posted, not everyone is tied so strongly to an idea that they can not see past it, but the 15 minute cool down down does cause it to be more of an impact than it needs to be when you get grouped with some Sheeple.

As for the II version of the Dungeons, I would want more CPs than 170 if it was me that was doing the content. For no other reason than those dungeons are set up with mechanics you can avoid or mitigate if your burning down the bosses quicker.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    160 for normal
    500+ for anything else

Link in group chat your legendary gold weapons and they'll leave you alone. If your most important stuff is purple or blue, fix it before doing Vet dungeons.

With many completely acceptable build you can use plain, non set weapons. Make it gold and will perform well.

In vet dungeons 160+ cp with beginners crafted purple gear for your particular role in group, 250+ cp for dlc vet dungeons.
In my own personal experience, I didn't even do normal dungeons until i was 160cp just out of respect to not *** or slow people down in the group.
I feel like you should earn the right to enter vet dungeons by first doing normal ones and learning mechanics, going into vet dungeons with 5k dps and slowing others is just lack of respect, if you just want to goof around, do solo stuff, not group ones.

I'd say make sure you know the mechanics before joining a dungeon and you'll be fine.

Having Low-CP, less than 160 usually means the following:
    1) You lack a lot of max stats.
    2) You, obviously, lack the % increase in damage/recovery from CP-trees.
    3) If you're below CP160, the gear drops in your CP-level, meaning that all your drops becomes 100% useless for the rest of the group, if they're all above 160.

The lack of max stats is annoying, imo. & CP makes a ton of difference. I recently logged into my DK again, I went to grind her in the Catacombs. I forgot that a few months ago the CP reset, so i didn't play her since => she had no CP allocated, although the CP was available. I grinded one evening without any CP. It was actually surprisingly challening to grind the catacombs then, I had to do smaller pulls to be able to complete it. When I used my CP(Not optimal, far from, actually),I could do similar pulls to what I do on my main(templar) without any issues. I honestly didn't think the difference for Vet-catacombs would be that big, but it was *censored* huge. Like.. Really huge.

What did I want to tell you with the story? CPs matters but your knowledge of your class & your rotation matters also. I can't really recommend you how much CP, but given the difference in max-stats, I would definitely not recommend going vet-dungeons before 300CP, simply 'cus you would be slowing the group down.

CP 160 for Non DLC, and I'd say at least 250 for DLC content. Some people will argue higher but I've finished with a littler lower as well.

They do need to put a min requirement I feel of 160 for any vet though.

I see people have a lot of different meanings , but it's true . Due to respect you should be higher then 160 of of course , but the thing is , I don't want to wait until 500 cp . Cause it will take years. But maybe around 200 - 400 CP. Cause my gear and ratio is up till date. And the mechanism in different dungons I have learn very well ( speciality in imperial city dungons)

But yeah I see the point of which CP will do too the dmg % and income damage you can take.

But thanks for all the advice:)
I will try more to do normal dungon i group finder until I reach around 250
