Can i port to an area i havent visited if to a friend or guildmate?

I was going to see if somebody in my guild had a vamp bite available but still in the first main zone. Would i be able to travel to them to the area we need to be for me to get the bite. Or would i have to had already got the wayshrine in the area?

just right click on thier name in guild rouster or your friends list and choose option "port to player"
it does not matter if you have been there before or not, as long as the person is there your good to go.
