Well I am really looking forward to my characters having their own little house  I would be really happy if the housing was more functional, I really would, and I am hopeful that they add more functionality to it in the future, and am sure that they will, but for now... I am just happy to make my house look pretty...

Some people seem to dislike housing, and if you do, then don't buy one, nobody is forcing you to, there is no need to take offence to it, even if you don't like/agree with it, as nobody is forcing you to buy one, and it has no impact on anything important anyway

They have hinted at adding more to housing in the future, so if you don't like the housing as it is, then wait and see what they add later on. I have friends who have never been to pvp, have never set foot inside maelstrom, because they don't find fun in those things, but they don't find the need to complain about these parts of the game, everyone is different and housing is optional

A test dummy could be put literally anywhere, crafting tables are not even that hard to get to. Was there more you wanted to add? The concept of housing zo$ added is just pure lazyness. For what they gave us, they could have just turned on ownership to crates and storage and we'd be happy.

I can get all (or most) of that in the game already. plants and ore literally are everywhere. I can fish rivers, oceans, lakes and fetid pools. Crafting stations abound. Not that I would object if those things were added to housing but really it isn't needed. The thing I have wanted for a long time in the game one way or another is coming to housing and that is a practice dummy. Very functional and not already found in the game.

If it makes you feel better, its not! Since pts went live, there have been multiple 'bugs' in housing, but zenimax have ignored them, and been concentrating more on the balancing side (Which I agree, is just as, if not more important) than fixing really vital aspects of housing, plus, there would be completely different teams of people working on both, so that is kind of irrelevant anyway, they don't employ the same people to take care of everything, they have teams for each individual area of the game, so the people working on housing would have no impact on those working on performance/balance etc.

The housing is definitely not only cosmetic, it will have a degree of functionality. I hope more functionality isn't added in the future as that will simply lead to the cities being deserted as everyone spends most of their in-game time in their house, giving new players the impression of an empty game world with the result that they move on.
