I'm not sure about lotro system, but swtor's outfit designer isa the most convenient and clever I've seen so far.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VP7cJVbq0t4

DC Universe Online had a great style/appearance editor. For example, in ESO if you were to equip the Valkyn Skoria helm you could utilize that appearance at any time for that specific piece overwriting appearance similarly to how costumes behave in ESO. Any piece of gear that you wore in DCUO had it's style info stored to be worn at any time.
LOTRO's system was awesome. Would love for that in ESO

Oh the music system! I miss it every time my bard take a lute out to play. I used to have tons of added melodies in the game to play on taverns, especially in pony. One of my roleplay characters was Dwarven bard singing songs from under the mountain.
Oh damned, now im thinking of logging there but Khajit makes this one stay

I love how in the beginning of the video he said it took him forever to figure how to change his appearance because no one knew how and he had to figure it out.. 2 seconds later he says press inventory and go to "style" hahaha how did that take him forever to discover
More customization is always great in my book! Don't know how it would work with crafting and styles though...
Yes, I'm thinking of the system in WOW there you change an item look to the style item.Considering that ZoS already has the ''technology'' to change the appearance of an item with the imperial converter(and the morag tong one from morrowind), I don't really understand why they haven't atleast expanded onto that. I guess that they probably want people to look ugly on purpose so costumes look more appealing but since they also sell motifs on the CS and even CS exclusives ones it's kinda weird.

Its the imperial style changer who uses an template who is any crafted or looted armor rater an fixed style.
Benefit is that its easy to implement. crafting station with two slots.
Yes, outfit slots is more powerful as you say it can be used for uniforms easy or let you switch to town clothes for immersion.Yes, I'm thinking of the system in WOW there you change an item look to the style item.Considering that ZoS already has the ''technology'' to change the appearance of an item with the imperial converter(and the morag tong one from morrowind), I don't really understand why they haven't atleast expanded onto that. Transmogrification and all the equipment in database is good idea in principle, but the fact that you always have to change the appearance of new item you equip in single place per faction is bad design as well as all the frustrating limitations it poses over players..
The LOTRO system is better in any way since you can have multiple appearances stored on your character all the time, you dont have to bind the item to you so the whoöle guild can benefit from single appearance item and it has no armor type restrictions which is also good.
In that system, you can equip any new piece of equipment you get immediately and never lose the favorite appearance you have built and the big thing is also the fact, that you can tweak your appearance anytime you want so if you happen to steal a piece of clothing, you can immediately add it to one of your appearances.
Also when there are multiple appearance tabs, you can always have the right appearance for right moment and while i dont particularly like it, ZOS can sell more tabs in the crown store.
