    No. It's not p2w.

I find having to do Vmsa 15 times instead of 50 for a good trait p2w.

A decent trait weapon. It's the same as these f2p shooter's where you can buy a weapon with in game cash if you grind for 5 months, even though you can buy it for $5. Saving countless hours on grinding your gear because you paid real money is too adventurous imo.

This. As a subber, that's asking way too much. Everyone who has access to the DLC should have the same RNG regardless if they're subbed or not.

For many people the point of doing dungeons etc. (especially doing them more than once) is to get the equipment they need for their build. Usually something that has better stats (bigger numbers and/or more suited to their build) which will therefore make playing in other areas of the game easier.

Therefore they've completed (or "won") that dungeon when they've got the drop/s they want.

If people can pay money to get better drops they are paying to 'win' the dungeon faster and to get better stats to use in other areas of the game.

That is literally pay to win.

As much as I hate RNG in this game, I don't think we want to go down the route of ESO+ getting better access to gear.

I mean people scream "PAY TO WIN!!!" the moment anything new hits the Crown Store as it is, this would be a lot more pay to win than those Vampire Bites everyone screamed out.

    No, that's full on pay-to-win.

I'd rather see a general upgrade of how RNG works at end-game.

There is absolutely no need at all for World Sets at CP160 to be dropping with Training and Prosperous for example. Just remove them from the CP160 loot tables.

If they really wanted to do away with more of the RNG grind they could introduce a Token system, so that we earn tokens by killing Vet bosses, and can then trade them in for the specific bit of gear we want. Make Token Bought gear BoP so it can't be dumped on the Market for ridiculous prices.

Now let's be clear on this. Is that a UK/US decimal point or a EU thousands break? Because one of those would be a really good deal.

P2W is paying for an advantage. In a game where gear matters a lot (almost every MMO ever, ESO included) better gear drop is an advantage. Therefore it is P2W.

That wouldn't solve anything. Whether you have 20% chance or 80% chance to get what you want, you still won't get it. Because Murphy's married to RNG.

I am an ESO+ member but i'd never wish to have such an advantage for it. I hate pay to win.
But i do not understand why people complain about random generations.
Rare items have a rare chance to drop. It's in the name itself. Why complain?
I understand that everyone wish to be more powerful that all the dadric princes all together but, please. This is a game for mature people, uber children have other more confortable environments to play in (and win)

    I basically agree.
    You can never please everyone.
Players are generally far too obsessed about equipment these days.
If you can be anything, be kind.

I like this idea. Balance it so that you have to reach the average number of kills ZOS expects you to need to get the drop or even slightly higher.

Say for example each time you kill the boss there's a 1% chance you'll get the drop you want (I know it's probably lower but I'm using easy numbers to illustrate the point). That means on average 1 will drop for every 100 kills. Every time you kill the boss you get 1 token and when you've got 100 tokens (or 110, 120, whatever) you can use them to buy the drop you wanted.

That way you can still get lucky and get a good drop early on, but it puts a cap on how many attempts you need to make, so no one is in the situation of potentially never getting the right drop.

And yeah of course purchased ones would be BoP. This is strictly to mitigate bad luck with RNG, not an easy way to make a profit.

Well, why would you pay real money for something you can get for like 5k ingame gold or even for free? Its not like vamp and ww bites are super rare these days. A lot of people (myself included) bite for free and it never took me more than 15 min to get free bites for my alts.
Its probably there just for those completely antisocial types who never interact with other players and play this game as solo rpg. And even then, they could just wait for those vamp/ww mobs.
