I was doing a test to see if I could increase the damage of my enchant/s with stamina, magica, and/or weapon damage. I took off all armor and only had a mace with a poison damage enchant on to do the test.
My results:
The poison damage would be the same whether I used stamina, or magica. So I increase the weapon damage to see if the would to something and again saw no change to the direct/base damage enchant, but I did see a change "only" to the "dot" of the poison damage enchant.
The poison damage remained at 2432 standard and 3647 as a critical for all test. But the dot (only)of the poison damage went up on with an increase of weapon damage.
So to see if the dot increase I put on a weapon increase item and the dot went from 309 to 343. Then I added another weapon damage increase item (same jewelry) and it went from 343 to 377. Not bad.
My question to ZOS is why does weapon damage only affect the "effect" of the enchant and not the full enchant. There was no increase in the poison damage enchant at all with the exception of the dot only.
I wonder how does anyone else feel about this, or knows. Just curious.
