• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

I can play the game on my desktop.
I get emails from ZOS when I need information, like access codes coming quickly in the past, as well as sale notifications, like the Friday the 13th sale.

So I know my address is linked to my account correctly.

Trying to finish the install on my laptop for 2 days now.
It tells me to wait for the access code.
I've tried to log in multiple times in the last 2 days trying to shake the apple from the tree.

I don't HAVE a spam folder, and ZOS is in my addressbook for email.

I hope I don't have to wait for the new DLC.
I'll bet my subscription fee gets billed on time, tho.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

Access code? It's been awhile since I installed the game but I don't remember having to use an access code to install the game, only to run it.

Trying to log into the game from a different location or computer than the one the servers generally associate with your log in credentials triggers a pop-up window that says words to the effect:

'Wait a minute, we'll send a code to the email address we have on file for you, punch the code into the log-in screen window and we'll proceed with recognizing your new location/computer as being associated with your persona....'

That log-in/access code.

This typically happens when the email provider blocks the access code emails as spam. Sometimes, the email won't even make it to your spam folder. The way we can resolve this issue for you is to change the email address on your account. To do that, please submit a ticket using this form and be sure to provide an alternate email address.

Why is this so hard and time-consuming?

OK, I submitted the form that was linked in ZOS_DaryaK's response above, which resulted in my receiving 2 emails to the email account that I always got the previous codes and ZOS communications to:

The first email informed me that:
We will assume your issue has been resolved if we do not hear from you within 96 hours (4 days).

The second email asked me for the same information that I supplied (In bold below) in the form that came from the link posted by ZOS_DaryaK's in the response above.

================================
From the email response I received:

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online this fine evening, and thank you for informing us about the issue you are having with the One Time Passwords used to verify your computer login.

If you did not receive the code in your email:
1. Add noreply@mail.elderscrollsonline.comto your list of approved email senders.
2. Check your Spam or Junk Mail folder.
• If you are using Gmail with the Inbox categories feature, also check your Social folder.

3. If you are using a firewall or anti-virus, temporarily disable them before requesting a new code.

If this fails to fix the problem, please give us the information below; and we can change your email address to fix the problem.

1. Payment Method (use one of the following options)
Last 4 digits of the credit card number

PayPal Invoice ID
Complete Game / Time code

2. The Answer to the Secret Question.

==================================

1. I don't use Paypal for the game, I pay the subscription fee every 180 directly.
2. I don't have a "Complete Game / Time code", nor do I have a clue where to find one or what it is.
3. I already get ZOS email to the address, just like I got the response to the address, and I've previously gotten access codes in the past to the address.
4. I'm not getting a code THIS time, and thats the problem.
5. I don't understand what you want besides the information that that I've already supplied before, and I don't understand why you're asking for it again, unless I'm being interrogated and you're hoping to catch me supplying a different answer so you can respond with an "A-HA!!, You're lying!!"
6. Why is this so hard?
7. I've received an email response from what appears to be an actual human being on the other end, so my hope is semi-restored for the nonce.

You have my email address
You have my info and credentials
I get your other email to the address, including codes in the past as well as sales info for micro-transactions in the company store
Why don't you just ask the people in the company store, who know how to contact me, what their secret is for being able to get info to me is?

And best of all:
Since we're referring to my account being authorized on a MOBILE LAPTOP, I can NOT wait to see what is going to result the first (or any/EVERY) time I take the laptop to a different location and try to log into the game from that different location.
If I go somewhere and want to play for several hours over the course of a day or two - is it going to result in this same carousel of email and non-responses covering several days longer than the time I plan on spending away from home?

<<le-sigh>>
I'm losing hope.
We'll see.

As I posted in the other thread about no access code, and the CM's suggestion in the link about changing the email address associated with the account:
ZOS_DaryaK wrote: »
This is typically an issue where the email provider is blocking the access code email before it even gets to your spam folder. You can resolve this issue by changing your email address which you can do by following the steps in this support article.

From the link above:

"#4 Enter your new email address, answer secret question, and click SAVE.

#5 Check the email account associated with your ESO account for the required Access Code.

#6 Enter the Access Code.

#7 This confirmation will automatically log you out of the account page."

Please notice that we can't change the email address associated with our account without (first) receiving and (second) entering that access code.

This completely begs the question being addressed which is that (And I say this with the utmost respect and reverence for the hardworking community managers on the board) we can't do crap about anything without the @#$%& access code that we can't get.

:#

I am, once again, stuck staring at a screen that tells me to enter the access code (that I can't get) so I can change my email address and be able to get an access code.

Madness.

I am, once again, losing that I hope mentioned in a post above.

My 6 month ESO+ subscription pre-payment is due tomorrow (01/23/17).

What are the odds that my account issue and access code issue is fixed before my credit card is charged successfully?

Zero, judging by how fast ZOS staff seems to work.

That's OK, my auto-renew recurring 6 month subscription didn't, today, and I could no longer access the DLC areas like Hew's Bane.
So even THAT part got hosed.

I noticed I had an issue when all my gathered crafting mats, laundered mats, and mats from armor/weapons crushed in the forge suddenly started to load up in my inventory.

To be clear:
My 6 month subscription was due to auto-renew today, 01/23/17.
My problem of not getting the access code emailed to me started a week ago.
But I still get email that lets me know of crown store items on sale, and updates from tech support telling me to click on the link to change my email address, which requires the code, yada, yada, yada.....
