It is optional... you dont have to be a vamprie
It would have slightly ruined the questline if we knew from the very start just by looking at him. That's probably the only reason he doesn't look as freakish as the other vamps.

That's not the point I made is it? If in game characters can be camp and look normal, we should be able to
In that case I want to be in WW-from, but look normal.
And I think a lot of you are forgetting that when verandil does reveal his vampirism, the only difference is red eyes, no blood shot areas around the body/face and no chalky tone to the skin...

Oh, okay! Find me a lore book that supports this and I'm game!
Lore book that supports vampires being indistinguishable:
http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Immortal_Blood
Honestly the argument that vampires have to look ugly is baseless. We live in a world of magic, where not only are there vampires that can hide their appearance when well fed, but even as a fallback illusion is strong.
We can make a cat two different versions of a high elf, a woman a fern, and be entirely invisible- but no way we can make our vampires look mortal. I mean, it's not like some would try to blend in; they love being hunted!

The world supports it.
I just did a quest yesterday where my character was turned into a Breton. My character can change race, appearance, and even sex seemingly at will by using simple enchanted items. ES lore supports hiding vampirism, But it also supports hiding pretty much anything you want whenever you want.

Exactly.
I feel like there could be good reasons against it, but a simple "No" is infuriating.

Keep ur pants on pal. I said I want to look normal in WW-form, I never said that some silly lore supports that.(its not really silly). In that logic I need to stop dreaming about being president of US, because law says that foreigners cannot be president.
+ I also want to be able to hide my vampirism with some of my orcs.
And I think a lot of you are forgetting that when verandil does reveal his vampirism, the only difference is red eyes, no blood shot areas around the body/face and no chalky tone to the skin...
As I've just completed the Rivenspire questline again... you're wrong. Even in the first meeting Verandis is rather pale, although his eyes look normal. In later meetings he is in stage 2 or 3 with the appropriate visuals applied, i.e. the chalky skin and bloodshot areas around the eyes/cheeks.
It's somewhat hard to see because of his hairstyle, but it's there. And all of his companion vampires like Gwendis and Adusa-daro are apprently unable to hide the vampiric nature. So it's either a spell or potion or if it's an actual ability it is either tied to his age and thus mastery over his nature or a gift from Molag Bal (since he mentions Molag Bal as his creator).
Why must I keep my pants on?! /sarcasm (included this time)DocFrost72 wrote: »In that case I want to be in WW-from, but look normal.

Also, hate to break it to you, but you'd need a constitutional amendment to become a president in the US, good luck with the current administration. The rules say x, so we follow x. The lore says vamps can hide, so I say let them hide.
No hard feelings from theearlier post, just found it a bad comparison.

you chose to be a parasite, it is appropriate that you look like one.
Lets just say vampires are always transformed so you will always look like a vampire. In that case I want to be in WW-from, but look normal.
That's completely different... as a we you do look normal unless you transform, and when you do transform you are in that form temporarily, you are also a ww, meaning you are completely different to a human like race. Vamp is permanent (unless you cure) and just puts a skin over the top of your character.
