Close thing between Stamnina Nightblade because I love sneaking around as a rogue/assassin type character (blame R.A. Salvatoe and his novels for that one), and I enjoy how stamblades kinda take a bit more skill to handle then any other combinations in my opinion... and Magica Sorceror as second choice because I like the "long range caster, weak in body but strong in magicks" idea as a roleplaying point.
In pretty much every game I play, I'll go for those two first - the long range spellcaster (or technological equivalent), and the low-magic stealth backstab & sniper class. And then it becomes dependent on the game mechanics which one i end up enjoying more in that particular world...
I think magplar is the most versatile class. Best healer, good tank&dd. Was my first char, and I still think that it's the easiest to play (while solo questing) because of the heals, so it's the best class for beginners.
I also like magsorc a lot, can dish out crazy damage.
When I first bought ESO I kinda wanted to create my Skyrim & Oblivion main character, which is a bosmer with a bow. Stamina nightblade felt like the right choice, and after trying the other classes I still think I made the right choice!!
I have fun playing any class, I love this game, but stamina NB will always be my favorite!
I'm gonna have to go with StamNB. I have two. They just have so many different variables and ways to build them. Their options make it so I never get tired of them. I can mostly say the same about my magBlade too, but the staff feels like it limits it more.
While I'm indeed displeased at the numerous nerfs MagSorcs have had previously, it still is by far my favorite class and type. Plus, it's my first and main.
Magicka Templar for me. I like the versatility. I have enough skill points that I can completely switch roles from dps to healer with a quick CP respec and throwing on a different gear set.
MAG Templar which means ZoS will probably continue to nerf it. I absolutely love healing in the game is why I enjoy the Templar. Templar is a pure healing beast mode as it should be. It's also very versatile.
Started playing about 2 years back and I've actually never played any class other than Sorcerer. I didn't do much research initially and choose it because I wanted to be able to cast magic, it was that simple. Sorcerer wasn't really what I expected though, being focused on Lightning only, in terms of Class abilities. I never actually thought Sorcerer would have Pets either. I'm kind of a one character type of player too. I've made alts but only for extra storage.
I started off as a Magicka Sorcerer, as probably the majority of people do that choose Sorcerer lol. I switched to Stamina Sorcerer because I got bored of Staves relatively quick after maxing out the skill lines and also never used any melee weapons before, so I wanted to check out how those weapons felt and what the skills were like. I've yet to switch back to Magicka Sorcerer. I've thought about it a few times, but I find magic kinda lacking in ESO and I'm also still bored with staves.
I want this game to make it possible to cast magic from our hands or with a melee weapon equipped(and be relevant)! I liked the idea of hybrid builds that can utilize magic and melee, but I don't think it's supported that well thus far. Until then I'm fine with Stamina Sorcerer and I'll make that work for me.
My only gripe with Stamina-based builds is that I feel I'm required to use the "Spriggan's Thorns" item set due to there not being many other ways to get good amounts of Physical Penetration besides the obvious Sharpened weapon trait. Magicka-based builds don't need to use the "Spinner" set due to having the Light Armour passive that gives Spell Penetration. I'd like Physical Penetration to be apart of the Medium Armour skill line.
I think in general the Penetration stat is too heavily beneficial or mob resistances are too high. Along with there being limited ways to build up this stat. Perhaps it should be added to all item sets in whatever amounts seem fair? For example, where you see "(2 items)Maximum Stamina increased by 967" you would now also see "(2 items)Maximum Stamina increases by 967. Adds 688 Physical Penetration." and the same for the other set bonuses on "(3 Items)" and "(4 Items)". This would help make other sets more viable and playing around with item set combos wouldn't just be "playing around". Anyway, what was this thread about again? Lol.
MagDK by far. It's just so fun for me. I'm not great by any means, but I love melting things with AoE. Trying to learn the PvP side of things now. Btw, I was stam NB at first, mag NB for a very long time, then trained my DK up thinking it would just be a side character. Been my main ever since I started playing him.
Can't really select a vote/option. Well, it used to be a stam DK, but with the hub bub about how much more powerful a sorc is over other classes and how easily a sorc can run through vMA and trials, looks like I may have to create a sorc toon, thus, defying my objectivity towards playing a sorc.. and a sorc may turn out to be my fav class to play in ESO.
I have magblade in the making and just love being a sneaky sneak Got a stamblade bow expert which I like. Have a stamplar that I'm still working on. Don't have a dk yet. Have yet to make a magplar but can't decide if I want to be a straight healer or "tankish" any suggestions?
