[Update 13] Increased AP gain

    Even if two people were flipping all the flags in IC and farming AP there you can't really do much more than 30K AP per hour which is hardly better than some brainless Alessia bridge farm so I am not worried about nightcappers and so on.

    As many have said, it might finally bring some attention to other resources and make it more strategic to have people around keeps to ensure they are guarded. But that might also be quite annoying. We will see how it plays out.

    Yes totally! Which I'm super happy about. But should it count towards your title progression? Is it fair to the people who have spent an endless amount of hours getting up to Grand Overlord?

    I saw how some people "earned" their Grand Overlord. The word "fair" would not be part of the description.

    Perhaps most importantly, this is an opportunity for the discerning PvP to embrace this new dynamic and stop the 'AP farmers' from having an easy time of it. They're in Cyrodiil after all so attack at will! Players are generally fairly predictable when it comes to what they take and why, this is doubtlessly doubly so for the majority newer/inexperienced players in Cyrodiil.

    So get out there, and give them a hard time! There will surely - hopefully - be plenty of PvP to be had around these resources and the like now; both small scale and large.

    at the moment there is no need to actually speed up rank gains, you receive no bonuses or special items at 50 so why does someone new to the game need to hit rank 50 so fast? its not natural progression to let a noob get something he didnt earn while some people put multiple years to earn what they have. Its not like lvling from 1-50 or v16 its an actual achievement to cap out pvp ranks, the last true achieve anyone has to actually earn left in this game so why go after it now?

    I like the AP increase. More AP for siege, more AP for the golden vendor, faster Alliance rank progress & skill unlocks. More RotW junk :P It's all good!

    I like the change, as long as resources/keeps have the same diminishing returns for ap after capture. So 4 ppl in different alliances cant just take turns walking on flags and earn lots of AP doing so.

    It's an alliance war.

    Part of that is that combatants need an incentive to be in a particular place. Emperorship is part of that. Campaign score is, too, though I suspect most are only vaguely aware that there is such a thing, as you need to be online 12 hours a day to be in the top 10 (believe me, I've been there, in 2014, and will never do that again).

    The resources and keep capture mechanics are not PvE, or PvDoor. They are what we're fighting over.

    Incentivizing this properly is what will make Cyrodiil flourish if done properly.

    This is the reason you don't see armies facing off in Hackdirt. There is a town called Hackdirt. No one goes there, because it is not part of the alliance war mechanism.

    There's a funny looking non-combatant argonian there, though.

    I wish they'd put a flag way down by the eastern bay drawbridge. What a crazy place to run into another player.

    I am happy about the changes. It will encourage people to play the map instead of just farming. Resources gave a pittance at 25 ap this is much better. It should count toward the progression as well.

    It could work if 1500ap is awarded if its a level 5 resource but not just at any level to prevent exploiting. 6k ap for a keep take isnt so bad since it takes longer to flip a keep.

    I don't mind the changes. It will finally give me some incentive to try capturing a flag or two in the Imperial City.

    I think this is fair, means that the folk that PvE can come in take the res and get Vigor etc and not have to do any PvP

    but can they take the res? most players in cyrodiil can barely kill the wolves wandering around let alone a whole resource by themselves

    AP has been changed numerous of times. It's not unfair to anyone, and I'm positive most pvpers, including those with a GO already have no issue with an increase to AP.

    I mean, we're talking 60mil AP here. You would have to flip 10k keeps...it's not really easily farmed still.

    Much needed change, don't know what campaign you are playing on but I switch constantly on my alts and most of them are either AP farms or dead campaigns. This will definitely push players to go towards objectives more often, give a chance for those that are in lower populated campaigns or only able to play during dead times to earn AP, and hopefully balance the map by giving incentive for gankers to go towards objectives.

    Could it be an exploitable AP farm? Is tower/gate/sewer entrance farming players an exploitable AP farm?

    Could it make becoming a grand overlord easier? Oh ya its still going to cost 64 mil...

    LOL. Taking an undefended resource is entirely PvE and not difficult. (No CP campaigns are the exception; resources are much tougher there.) The players coming in in divines PvE gear will do just fine; it's on par with a modestly difficult mob pull in a dungeon, and I doubt the PvE'ers just getting their warhorn are all going to be soloing anyway.

    IMO this ap gain increase is really good, this will help players to gain aliance rank faster and also spread more around map.
    Zos is closing 2 campaings on PC EU so there will be more ppl playing on 2 cp campaings that left, so instead of zerging around 2 keeps ppl will start going and trying to take other keeps and get ap from it and also more ppl will come to ic. Imo thats exacatly what zos should keep doing to make ppl spread more.
