ESO-Why Can't those with Stormproof Trade VMA Weapons with each other?

    Or, they make vMA a bit easier so that people dont mind grinding it over and over and over. Part of why I havent done it is because the difficulty is too high for a small chance to get a weapon, most likely with a trait and in a style I dont need. So why bother?

    When I can go pay cash and receive a full set of VO with vma weapons while playing no content, you can then call this pay to win.

    Exactly. And I agree with you 100%. I've noticed some people say things are P2W, or would be P2W — when in fact that couldn't be further from the case. P2W is when the developers put things in a cash shop of sorts, where people can spend real-life currency to gain a noticeable edge in content or gear. Like the example you made, or if ZOS were selling gold Moondancer or Alkosh rings. That would be P2W. Not a token system, where content must be cleared and a form of in-game credentials are built-up over time to be traded in for prizes of sorts.

    Just allow you to purchase the VMA enchantment for 200 tokens, 1 token drops from every round. I wish BOP was removed though from the VMA weapons so at least those running VMA have a way to make some profit on it. Also wish BOP was removed from the drops in trials or at least the drops from Vet.

    Then people will be able to get weapons without actually clearing vMA, so I say no. I do agree with a token system that gives tokens upon completion and more tokens for a flawless clear though.

    I would prefer a trade-in system.

    For example you could trade 5 of any Maelstrom item (any trait) for a box of "Unidentified Maelstrom Staff". You could make it more specific, such as "Unidentified Maelstrom Flame Staff" to give a greater chance at getting what you want.

    This way every 5 runs you at least have a chance at the weapon you want, while keeping some of the RNG factor that ZoS loves dearly.

    The answer is very simple. The only players we can trade BoP items with are those we weee grouped with and in the instance together when the loot dropped. It also doesn't include coffer rewards.

    Since we cannot be grouped together inside the same instance of vMA we dent trade.

    Majorly disagree with many points here. MSA weapons must remain BOP. And the difficulty should not be nerfed, its just right if you really try / want to.

    Sure I'm still new, so haven't done 200 times so can see a form of token / trade system may be needed tho. Maybe if you decon the weopon u get a Token but still BIS should take alpt of tokens

    It was so hard it took me ages to clear. I got a sharp dagger first time. It a useless as I'm a Magika user. I said I would never come back, but to get the staff im trying, and I'm learning alot about my build. Ans playstyle and its getting easier.

    People want everything for nothing, I disagree with that.

    Maybe a better chance for sharp weopon first complete, but that or a limited token system is all.

    Trading is ok, but what if there's no other stormproof with a weapon you want online right now? More options are needed:

    You can also make them drop from crafting writs together with master writs. And why not make it so that it can drop from fishing - as in other players threw it away in water and we found it.

    Could also add a vMA vendor in cyrodiil.

    Mailing a type and trait that you want to, say, @Gamemaster and getting the exact weapon you want, maybe? I'm not sure, how to make everyone in endgame have a supposed-to-be rare weapon. Maybe there are more ways I haven't thought of?

    Let's keep brainstorming.

    I would rather VMA just drop the weapon enchant instead of a weapon..... could just craft a normal weapon then with whatever trait and slap the enchant on it and done, would still take a few runs to get the specific enchant you want but less grind

    p.s. that's the problem, you don't have anyone with you, but you do in all other ones, so everyone get to trade, plus they are way easier. i'm sitting at almost 100 vma weapons now, none of my 4 diff players are able to use any, so many of them are dupes as well. hell make the circuit before they start giving you dupes. just my opinion

    If you alrady have a VMA weapon, you also have the stormproof XD
    Does it mean you cant withdraw a VMA weapon from bank on a character that hasn't done VMA and trade on that character?

    Hate token systems, easy mode. Takes most of the fun out of running dungeons, go run a dungeon for your magic token that the boss had in his pocket and turn it in for something you want at a vendor that accepts "monster currency".

    I much prefer the RP style your "raiding" a monster lair and taking what loot they have on them and stashed in chests. You may not get what your want and that's fine, try again.

    I like the way ESO works now, trading is more immersive, still gives you a chance to get what you want, promotes team play and interaction. Token systems are one of the things wrong with modern MMO's.
