Honestly with the scaling now just jump in now. Gotta start at some point and the more you run the dungeon, the better you will be at it with other groups. Even before the scaling my friends and i would be happy with cp160 or higher. We also pulled from our guilds, there are always people looking for groups.

Get in there, get your feet wet. accept some "constructive" criticism on your build if someone gives it. That worked wonders for me.

    Edit: because my spelling sucked

Yeah this is probably the worst advice. Don't bother starting them till CP160 (which you are past). If you go in below 160 you're just going to probably get kicked before you even load into the dungeon. While I don't agree with that, it's what is going to happen most of the time so save yourself the furstration.

I started when I had around 300cp because I didn't feel confident enough with less, but there is no "rule" on which level you should be. Just make sure you have proper gear and you know what you're doing, you should be fine

You can start veteran pledges now. How else are you going to learn? Do it and don't listen to people who tell you you should be cp capped to do vet pledges.

230 is fine. Just avoid dlc ones.

Just make sure you have good enough gear and know what you're doing.

Yet the gear cap is Cp 160, and they let you que for Vet at Cp 10, kind of something wrong there ha.

Yeah its kind of stupid people wanting the max possible dps just to zoom through it all even on easier ones like WS1, FG1, VoM and such pretty easy to do at Cp 160 or even before. The time they take to try and find someone they want to run with they probably would've been done with the dungeon with that lowbie cp.

Don't start with the vet pledge, that draws the people who want the helm / 2 keys and want them fast - the dungeon farmers.

Pick one of the easier dungeons, learn the vet mechanics (if different than the normal), and choose that dungeon in the activity finder. You will be grouped with people who really aren't looking for more than something to do. They chose a random vet, not the pledge or the normal. That will give you a MUCH higher chance of a group of patient helpful people.

Know your role in the group.

Have voice chat to be able to talk, text in order to type. Xbox players can plug a standard keyboard into the console, I expect play station people can do something similar. Make some sort of greeting, so people know you can communicate.

Get experienced with that dungeon, learn another, then another. At some point you will realize you are keeping pace with, or outrunning, higher cp ranks than you.

"You shouldn't be doing Veteran Dungeons because you're CP is too low."

Anyone that says this or something similar are usually the weakest of players. Not in terms of CP(Of course they have many many glorious CPs), but generally they have low confidence in their understanding of the Dungeon and have no patience to simply explain basic things. These are people that if they don't change how they interact with others, deserve to be ignored and looked down upon.

Most of the time they are the people that leave immediately after joining a group and/or initiate vote kick on someone repeatedly. These are the scum of the earth and should be squashed by ignoring whatever condescending words they fire your way. Players that are in a group with one of these vile cretins, that are not under its attack should vote against or vote to remove the beast.

I have seen players who have 560 CP who could not complete veteran dungeons. Then I have seen players who were as low as 20 or 30 CP hold their own in them. So it is not necessarily a question of CP.

If you are well geared and do your role well then you will be fine at that level. If not - then if anything it will be a valuable learning experience. So I would give it a try.

As long as you're wearing CP160 gear, you should be fine. Maybe avoid the DLC dungeons and CoA until you're fully comfortable with your skills and rotations, but the rest shouldn't pose much of a problem.

I agree with this and @Oreyn_Bearclaw.

    A well-geared CP160 should be fine ...

I started at about 190cp, but left the tougher ones till I was much higher CP as I didn't want to hinder the group.

You may find yourself struggling or even booted from the group at low level cp, depending on your skill and the group you're in.

most are easy enough to do. a lot of the II ones can be tough and especially the DLC ones, so bare that in mind.

Vet dungeons vary wildly in difficulty....there was another thread that was discussing a rating system and I grabbed this from it. Not definitive and I don't agree with all the ratings but it's a rough guide.
