PvEr's: what's worse, unlocking Mages Guild on your magic build, or Alliance War on your stam build?

✭Alliance War (caltrops) is the worstPersonally, I enjoy running around the map getting skyshards and lore books. Nowadays I don't level characters by questing so it is good to go and get the skyshards and way shrines - and it is one of the best activities to do with a friend as you generally steamroll over everything in your path and you probably won't die.
I also really like PvP even if I die a lot, but as vigor is essential for stam classes I will usually die to people who aren't necessarily better, they just have more necessary skills unlocked. Yes vigor can be quicker to get, but it can also be much slower.

✭Alliance War (caltrops) is the worstWith as bad of a computer as I have, id much rather get level 10 mages guild than assault/support. Also assuming you aren't just grinding your character to 50, you should be pretty close to level 10 mages guild by the time you hit 50. Once you are there then its not difficult to just go get the rest of the lore books needed. And if combing the land for books isn't your thing, there is also the mages guild daily repeatable quest that has you go into delves. Whereas pvp requires you to go out of your way to level it up and you can't just slowly level it up as you quest in pve like you can with the mages guild (and fighters guild). The main issue that you should have brought up is undaunted vs pvp since those both require you to do very specific tasks in order to level them up (pve dungeons vs gain Ap).0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Not sure how it happened, but I leveled Mages to 10, unlocked Meteor and have used Inner Light and never joined the Mages Guild.
Anyway, the highest rank I have in the Alliance War on any character is Rank 2, wait, I have a Healer that might be Rank 3/4. I have never used Vigor or Caltrops on any of my characters.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

One could even use your console web browser, but easier to have map open on another device at same time.
But is still tedious going to all the locations.

The way I read the question was for everyone all together. I play mostly pve but would much rather grind alliance points than mage guild.3 -

You can get AP by helping capturing keeps and so on, but everyone knows if you want it to level up fast you need a good build and player skill. You know, there are some revelers in Cyro, somewhere near EP gates. They offer you a drink and if you accept it, you collapse and wake up somewhere else.
Are you sure you havent met those near mage's guild?
