Buying House With Crowns

Houses will be cheaper than people believe because they are in direct competition with in game gold and must remain realistically affordable. Has anything ever been priced higher that the largest crown pack? My guess, manor will cost 5500 crowns.

Yea thats more reasonable and will attract more people for sure! Win-win.

I'd guess the manors will run around 24k, large houses 12k, medium 6k, small 3k, and apartments 1.5k for unfurnished, and furnished prices to be 1.5-2k higher. Judging by how much they price everything else on the store, I doubt it will be remotely cheap to get anything good, much less all of them.

    Thats rediculous....
.... I imagine the work put into houses is a lot more than the work put into slapping that thing together.....

yeah, im sorry but that is false information.

i have seen every single house and mansion and i promise you that everything about them is Pure Copy-Paste!
every single one of them is a copy of a house somewhere in another zone, they simply gutted them of furniture and NPC's.

And then added new art assets for new furniture items (trophies, etc.). And added the housing editor. And adjusted the maps to accommodate the areas. And...

There was a lot of work that went into this update. Saying it was less work than a single mount, especially one that is widely considered unremarkable for its price compared to other mounts, is simply incorrect.

I'm not trying to justify prices as high as I listed, I'm merely stating that I would not be surprised in the least should they end up being accurate. After all, that was the point of this thread originally -- speculating at what prices these would go for.

ok, yes, i agree with that. yes,
but the homes themselves is what i was refering to. and to price them at $100.00 US Dollars is just not fair.

Lol sorry but what do you mean it's not fair? Not everyone can purchase everything, that is life.

You don't see everyone driving quarter million dollar cars do you? This is a game with a diverse population of players. Some will be able to spend more than others, this is life.

Whatever price they slap on these houses will be fair. Either you have the expendable income to purchase them or you don't. In which case you have the option to get the gold in game.

Not everyone should have these houses. So yes it would be fair for them to be expensive.

Unless ZoS comes out with a 25,000 crown pack...

You make a good point but remember the game has players all over the world. For the 'countries such as USA, U.K. Etc 100 dollars may not be much, but for gamers from other regions, 100 dollars is a lot of money. It is a bit unfair that gamers in other countries be priced out of gaming due to being born in other parts of the world.

It won't happen, but games like this need to weigh their prices to local currency to ensure people don't suffer from a freak of geography.

    Socialist rant ends :)

    Edi: can't type on iPad

Thats the exactly thing i was saying. 100 dollars is 1/3 1/5 minimum salary in most countries and after deducting food/bills etc those gamers cant buy the island or cave but i wish most of the people would be able to buy with the same amount of sacrifice

Remember before the release of ESO they were flirting with the idea of the game being f2p, b2p or p2p (of course p2p being the most dreadful of choices they could choose at the time) and of course as per usual they picked the most dreadful of the options. Despite, Mr. Paul being out of the picture I feel that Mr. Paul was but a mouth piece behind the men/women in black robes pulling the strings so my guess is that well... "The best predictor of future behavior is … past behavior" and I'll go out on a limb ( a rather good one ) and say the houses manors in particular will be priced absurdly whatever the price may be that would earn the label of "dreadful" by the player base.

I think crown exclusive houses without furnishing will be really cheap. 10.000 max furnished because literally you will have nothi g after you buy it ^^ and chairs tables etc they are like 150-200-50 crowns some of them cannot be crafted in game i guess. You should pay another 5.000 crowns to buy 20-30 items so yea un furnished will not be expensive imo.

I would say, just as a guess, that the apartments will cost around the price of mounts and the small houses will cost just slightly over the price of expensive mounts in crowns.

Would it not be ironic if ZOS chose to put the million dollar houses in Crown Crates?

If they make apartments/small houses same price with mounts im telling you no one will buy it. No one. Not even a person. 5.500 crown is 35 euros and you can buy small houses with 30 mins of farm max.

They charged 5k for the merchant that doesn't repair so I think they'll definitely charge 20k+ for the Manor houses imo since 3.7million is a very large amount ingame, and whilst 20k+ sounds crazy for many people playing this game, there'll be other people who'll find the money for 20k+ crowns far easier to come by than 3.7million ingame gold, or at least ZoS will bank on it, I'm sure.

Well from all the left over duped currency that they didn't get rid of and the constant bots 3.7m is nothing to some people

You cant co pare in game gold with real money. Companies making games to earn money. They dont care actually if you have 1 million or 10 million. Yes they will think about market going on in a long run but what they really want is selling in game items for real money and they have to sell it to many people also they want people to subscribe. So if you subscribe for a year (12 months) and if you cant get your crown exclusive house (15kmax) + little things (3k) subscribing is pretty useless. 15k is already really high price for crown exclusive furnished houses. You literally support the game for a year i mean come on.. 12 months and you cant get a house...

£100 (20k crowns) for an in game house? Are people serious? I could buy 1/3 of a PS4 pro for that ***. I could buy 3 and a half AAA games for that ***, and for £50 more, I could buy a normal PS4 or X1. Outrageous people would be ok with this. And some people wonder why we got lumbered with crown crates.

This is ignoring the fact 5500crs on Xbox cost over £30, so they'd be truly fleeced.

Buy with gold my friend. I hate the fact that ZOS sells houses on crown store, owning a house should feel like an achievement. People work hard to get 3 million gold so it's unfair if everyone can just buy it for like 10 bucks. I understand that they want to make some money from housing, so i am all for charging a house so much that people have to buy it with gold

Seriously I'd expect the Manors to be 10k Crowns... AT THE VERY MOST. They can't honestly expect people to pay up £70 for 20k Crowns (In my currency) for the largest of homes. I really hope that's the highest they'll go because I'm not able to make ridiculous amounts of money in the game, so buying one with Crowns is a good alternative for me but not if they're that expensive. I love supporting this game, but I don't have a lot of disposable income to throw around... :/ I'm already sitting on 5.5k Crowns which I've saved since the Black Friday discount sale, and I'm willing to charge another 5.5k for the housing update, but only if doing it one more time will net me a Manor of my own to decorate and call my home.
