Is there a token to change class?

I don't believe so. The tokens are largely cosmetic, and a class change is much more than cosmetic.

Besides, if you're going that far you're probably better off making a new character anyway.

I already have 12 characters and I would delete them, but let's face it... having a fully fed horse, undaunted and Alliance levels take much more work (and time - 180 days for the horse) than just leveling a toon to 50.

No there is no token to change class.

    You can change race

The powers that be at ZOS are on record stating that class change is the one thing they do not intend to do. So... no there is none, and there likely won't be one unless they change their minds someday...

If the rumours are true and they are introducing new classes (Matt Firor said that was a possibility) and we won't get the spellcrafting they originally promised us (Matt Firor has basically said we won't) then I think they'll have to offer class changes.

I have eg. created several characters with nature themed names. None of the existing classes work for that so I just had to go with one and wait for spellcrafting. But now it looks like they're reviving wardens instead.

Do I want to delete my characters with their great names and worst of all restart the godawful horse feeding grind? I really don't. And if I'm forced to make that decision I'm more than likely to just play a different game instead.

...then I for one pray they are smart about it and do them in some way that can be refitted to our existing characters. You know, like, say... this: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/240186/class-morph-idea/p1

we can change race, which is pretty ridiculous, but we are unable to change class that would be much more logical. for me, in terms of RPG, this is one of the most absurd decisions on this game.

No level another toon ... like the rest of us.
Sorcerna, proud beta sorc. RIP April 2014 to May 31 2016 DArk Brotherhood. Out of retirement for negates and encases. Sorcerna will be going back into retirement to be my main crafter Fall 2018. Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.

Those who already have 12 characters made may look at it differently. Especially when you add riding training and crafting research...

Of course, new classes would be more painful when touching upon the "Arrrggghhh, why in oblivions name was that darn class not available when I made this nifty character, it would have been sooooo much better for the background..."
One of the main reasons why I keep saying that if they want to give us more classy fun (and they should) they best make it in some way that can be easily refitted to existing characters, so -everyone- can benefit, no matter if they just started their first character, or have been playing since launch.

But if they don't, and just add classes... then affordable class change would become an issue. I'd still resent it though.

If they ever add a new class, they will for sure increase the character limit. At a price ofcourse...

I'd rather pay 5500 crowns to change class than to spend 50+ hours grinding a character to 50 (this includes rediscovering all POIs, collecting skyshards, obtaining quest skill points, levelling up mage's/fighter's guild/undaunted, levelling up weapons and skills, etc.). Then there is also the 6 month grind you need to go through to level your horse.

I'd gladly pay $40 to forgo all that.

There is nothing fun about redoing the exact same content for the 5th time.

That's the easiest part of the grind. The worst is levelling up all your skill lines and horse. Absolutely brutal since you're just repeating content.

I don't think spellcrafting or the warden class is happening. Dataminers just rediscovered the same old files that have always been in the game.

It takes like 4-6 hours without the 100% XP boost to get to 50. It's really not that much of a grind compared to the 80+ hours long grind it takes to even get close to CP 561

I'd be fine with that. I won't delete a character, even a low level alt, that I've spent months upgrading trades skills, riding, etc. on.

The problem with arguing with a jackass is that they never stop braying.

Not true. Changing a race changes your racial passives. I think a change of race or class should be an option and both should reset a player Skill Points.
