How is the Dungeon Queue Finder for PS4?

Does it actually work? Are there dungeons at Level 35 for me to do? I've been away for almost a year and hope things are better than they were...

Firstly, a lot has changed. Players are scaled to cp160 now. That means all dungeons are suitable for you to do, regardless of your level.

Queue for some normal dungeons and you will see.

Note there are some group finder changes coming in the February update.

Also, dont be bothered when you inevitably get kicked out of groups based on your level. Those players need to be carried through and cant handle an actual dungeon run, pretty much dont take it personal.

I thought we were all scaled though? Is that common (getting kicked based on your level)?

Welcome to the world of MMOs where palyers kick to be carried, very common. Even highly skilled experience players get kicked when running without a guild or friends, due to an alt being leveled up.

Not terribly common, but common enough.

I have only been kicked by a group once, on a level 25 alt, a tank I was leveling. The others in the group were level 23.
I also ran in a group where they tried to kick my husband, on his level 44 alt, but everyone just ran the dungeon like normal after I voted no.

I will warn you, there are a few bugs, most notably the "group disbanded" bug, which frequently means that the finder added too many people to the group and then kicked some of them out. Unfortunately when that happens you need to requeue after the cooldown timer expires, it doesn't add you back to the top of the waiting list.
