Farmed for two hours in sewers just now. I read you can get it every now and again from a glyphs Devon or drop. Is that true or can it only be bought?

Agree, you can grind out 5k telvar in 10 minutes in the overland districts. Probably faster too, if youre in a 3man group you can get 5k telvar every 3-4 minutes if you have a rotation with the district bosses down.

1) Get them from Molag Bal or Trove Scamps
2) Buy them from the Tel Var Merchant for 5k each
3) Get them from Guild Traders
4) Get them from Heavy Sacks (Got 3 of them from a Wrothgar Heavy sack 2 days ago. Not sure if they drop in all heavy sacks or just the Wrothgar one but it was still worth a mention)
Easiest by far is the Tel Var merchant. 5k Tel Var stones is a joke to earn nowadays.Argonian forever1 -

Agree with this and pretty much all the other posters here ...
Even if you have the whole sewers to yourself to farm, trove scamps still rarely appear ... and they are somewhat hard to immobilize and kill. After all that, they may not even drop hakeijo runes (same with Molag Bal - the drops are rare).

Thanks for this info. All of the sources I've read simply say that "Hakeijo runes are a very rare find" but nothing at all indicated that they don't eventually come out of a normal rune node. I've never seen one drop from anything, but I've never entered a PvP zone either. I bought one for about 10k Gold from a trader to unlock the achievement, but have decided that I really like Prismatic glyphs and was wondering what I'd have to do to get more of these. ✭✭✭✭I thought they were only available from IC - surprised on the Wrothgar sacks. I can't say I've ever got one from any heavy sack (but then I'm never in Wrothgar, though).
However, I have got one or two from chests in the sewers. but still very rare though. As other have said, the best way it to simply buy with tel-varMinalan owes me a beer.
