Should you be able to litter in ESO?

In Morrowind, you can drop items on the floor, move them around.
In Oblivion, you can drop items on the floor, and move them around.
In Skyrim, you can drop items on the floor, and move them around.

In Elder Scrolls in general, items are interactable, as in you can shove them, knock stuff off a table, make a pile of mess on the floor.

Perhaps even with siege weapons, shoving them off a cliff, making a blockade on a bridge, etc etc etc.

So my question is, In Elder Scrolls Online, should you be able to hide stuff, like in a tree trunk, aka litter the world.

Yall take concern of the developers and game capablities.

Think of it. There is no limits.

    Thats how innovation is made.

If you worked at Apple and told steve jobs, "oh we cannot do that, its too complex, that's why", you get fired.

There is no limits, do you want this if its possible, Yes or No.
Dont think too technical about it (aka hackers, computer specs), think about if it would make game fun or not.

Quit being negative nancy's and think about would it make the game interactive and interesting.

No. Just think about hundreds of players emptying their inventory all over town. It would be a mess and the servers would die.

If it was allowed, how long would the items stay there? Too long and you would drown in junk, to short and people would complain all their stuff disappeared.

Now, I have no issue with dumping stuff in your house. Cheese wheel room here I come.

The developers at ESO, are not your ordinary bachelor degree in coding developers.

These are serious developers, and they can WOW you, they can do things you never thought possible.

So think not about technically issues of hacking and computer specs, but how it would feel being capable of littering the world, aka moving objects around and making the game feel more interactive, like a typical Elder Scrolls game feels like.

Its possible and no negative attachments, would you want this or not??

    Think about this.

You at max capacity of items to carry.
In every MMO you have to go sell or put in bank those items.
Would you instead like the feeling of being able to goto a hiding spot nearby, drop a bunch of items, go back and loot the items you couldnt loot because of max capacity, and then sell and then go back and pick up the items you dropped.

Another scenario, your inventory and bank is full, too lazy to do inventory management, so you just find a hiding spot hardly anyone goes too, and thats your little secret stash.

Yes, of course someone could randomly find it and take all of your secret stash too.

The issues I see is, people already have fps and lag issues when towns are busy and people are duelling. So there is already a limit there.
Now you want to add hundreds or thousands of interactive objects to that as well.

Even if you could do it with no problems I still wouldn't want it. There would end up being stuff left everywhere.

As much as I really, really like the idea, there's a good reason many items in the world are static or else don't havok. It would cause a lot of lag and many crashes otherwise.

This was also the case in TESV. Too many items, too close, with all their physics, being rendered all at once? At some point you lose FPS, crash to desktop, or freeze.

Minus technical issues, as you demand, no. Inconsiderate folks already clutter towns with spell animations, and the sounds of a magical barnyard. I can only see this leading to a mess.

    There are limits because servers.

We can't have capes or cloaks due to what it would contribute to server lag. Imagine what people dropping loads of junk items would do to the server lag.

One of the dumbest ideas Ive ever read on these forums.
People must really be getting bored if they want to pick up and move around garbage.

At least housing will keep some people busy for a little while but ZoS needs to come up with some new content....

I didnt vote because biased poll is biased.

    Yes and no.

In single player TES, you can slow your game down to a crawl by dropping 17364738 pumpkins on the ground. This obviously must be prevented here, so no littering in public areas.

However, it would be nice to be able to do it in our homes, so if it can be coded in such a way that it won't affect the rest of the server population outside the instance, I'd be in favor. But it will never happen because it would break ZOS' carefully constructed furniture crafting grind. Can't have us just picking up ordinary items in the world and bringing them home for no cost, can they?

The game should be more interactive. I wish we could put items in the world, like the gardens in SWG or backpacks in Archeage.

I would love to drop pumpkins and other veggies in cities.

    Also I want
    - to be able to kill the cats
    - move around containers and furniture in NPC houses/banks
    - Drag around corpses of creatures and NPC's

well thats why a simple cable for iPhone costs more than some phones.

I guess Zos is doing pretty good job in this department, since we already have mounts that cost more than entire game.
If that is not innovation, than innovation does not exist.

Even in the credits it said: "Based on the Elderscrolls series"

If it was a true elderscrolls game it would say: "An Elderscrolls game"
