    He's really easy to find in this game. There are multiple zones he frequents (spawns in).

    Like, every non-DLC zone, in one of three different spots or somesuch...
    And if you find him in every one of them, his clothing color unlocks...

    Its a family of khajiits who name their child maiq I believe

    it seems its confirmed that M'aiq is actually somewhat a family name, since its inscribed into a loot in ESO

    I don't think M'aiq is constant the same. His class varies through the game.

    In Morrowind his class was Rogue, but in Oblivion Savant. In skyrim he was a warrior. All times he was member of the thievesguild.

    I cannot find anything about lore so I just think it's a fun Easteregg starting it's origin in Morrowind.

    As far as I can tell the only M'aiq who just plainly lies to the player is the M'aiq in Morrowind who clearly is completely of his rocker on Skooma.

    The other M'aiqs I can't remember catching in a lie ever.

    That was Wulf, in Morrowind. Old Imperial soldier you can find in the Ghostfence tower. Talk to him before you toddle off to fight Dagoth Ur, and he'll give you a coin and a new attribute; Luck of the Emperor. When you get back, talk to the lady in the Imperial Cult. She'll be impressed.

    One thing, when you find Maiq, take a moment to just look around. That Khajiit sure picks some pretty spots to hang out.

    He also has really nice animations (mostly just standing there). I never get tired of looking at him while I'm holding him for a guildie.
