OK, cleared the deck for the obvious joke, now some experience VMA DKs can give real answers. I'd like to know as well.

Well... For starters... I wouldn't attempt VMA with a MagDK, until you've sealed a few VMA clears with another class/setup. If you've done so already, or just want to dive straight into it. I advise the following gear, as I haves used it and had great success with it:

- 5x Burning Spellweave / 5x Silks of the Sun
- 2x Grothdarr (except on Stage 7, unless you're edgy) / 2x Skoria
- 3x Infallible Mage / Moondancer
- 1x Sharpened Inferno / could be any Inferno but charged if Maelstrom
- 1x Powered or precise resto

As for skills, they vary from person to person. If you need advice in that department, I'll list off what skills I used as well. Best of luck, comrade.

I can only advise you to go with a non-meta setup that makes clearing the arena a lot easier:

5 elegance
5 infallible aether
1 piece molag Kena
It got me flawless conqueror in my third run with it, but keep in mind that I was already experienced in the arena from other classes. Here is a flawless run with that build(swapped one kena for the vMA lightning and vMA resto):

vMA is all about remembering spawns and knowing what to kill first, so it always requires practice, practice, practice.

I already had a vMA lightning staff in the video, but it doesn't make that much of a difference

This. Exactly how I flawlessed mine. Don't even try and whip or weave your way through it. Self buffed you'll be hitting something stupid like 13-15k ticks on the staff alone.

I used the vma lit staff though over slotting Kena in (traded someone a sharp aether lit staff for 50 wax kind of regret it)

But using this / my similar build here I still pull a 540k score. It works a treat and you barely even need potions. Next patch this becomes even stronger. Yay.

I'd usually advise you to use 5 sergeants mail instead of elegance because it's a lot stronger, but the problem is that sergeants got killed by the per tick change in the current update. So dumb, they annulled the only use that set ever had.

Decent sell I think, I've got a sharpened inferno Aether staff that I've never used once, wish I had someone offer me a load of gold mats when I got the drop. I don't really PvE much, I don't even have Aether jewels
