Maintenance for the week of November 25:
• PC/Mac: NA and EU megaservers for maintenance – November 25, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 7:00AM EST (12:00 UTC)
• Xbox: NA and EU megaservers for maintenance – November 27, 6:00AM EST (11:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC)
• PlayStation®: NA and EU megaservers for maintenance – November 27, 6:00AM EST (11:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC)

Random Event is totally being abused. How this can even happen is... not surprising really.

Near the Temple of the Eight:

NPCs respawn immediately and people just stand there rubberbanding with Lightning and Restoration Staves. Probably gold farmers.

It's probably the quest from the new life festival, side quest driving back the wildlife from the temple.

It's Sorcerers, Cryomancers, etc. It's either a quest unrelated to the festival or a random event. Either way, not supposed to happen.

They're still at it, and with even more people. Do you even care about this stuff Zenimax? It could be potential gold farmers for RMT practice.

Then again the game was ruined ages ago am I right? Can't ruin it anymore now can we?

Well then I suggest you remove the names of those players from the pic. I haven't seen anything like this but I'm on xbox so....

But the naming and shaming thing is pretty serious around here.

It wasn't posted to name and shame but they can remove the pic once they have the evidence duly noted if they want to. One could easily take non-name pics of people in that area doing it as they pretty much are there 24/7 no doubt but I only log on to do dailies and am by no means obligated to edit a screenshot taken to report abuse of this type in a game I no longer care so much about. I only did in the first place because I happened to pass by.

Not arguing with you, I'm just saying when you post a pic with names it usually end up being removed and you'll end up with a warning or whatever. If I have something to report I don't bring it to the forums because that invites trolls and the like.

I don't know how these people manage to do this but it is definitely fishy and they are back at it. By fishy I mean they apparently know how to trigger exploits.

What is there to exploit? Those bug mobs give like 22 Exp points and no loot. I have seen 8 to 10 players dropping AoE's on the spawn points, but I have also mostly seen 2 or 3 players waiting around for bugs to spawn.

If they really want to exploit something useful, there is a zombie area to the West and North that this would be much more effective in.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I doubt they'd waste their time if it wasn't worth it. That's too many people to shrug this off as a waste of time. Also if they are in a group it is possible they get full credit.

FF14 proved vastly superior and I developed a distaste to the vast bugs, lag, and complete balance mess.

Also the community I play FF14 among is friendly and positive while ESO's is generally toxic and trolly.

Same reason why there are/were botters/rubberbanders in skeever spots in Rivenspire.

Botters and rubberbanders dont care about time it takes, to level or gain loot. Its all free.

For all of you wondering why:
Cipherfarming. And I think aetherial dust can drop as well from these mobs. On PC EU the dust sells for 65k each. Even tho the chances of getting a piece of dust is smaller than getting a sharpened maelstromweapon (kappa), killing a few thousand of a instant spawning npc will probably give you a piece of dust/cipher eventionally. Please ZOS, this happens at PC as well. Fix this asap, there's not a coincidence that only the "top tier" tradingguilds sells these stuff, because they know how to use exploits to get it. Otherwise you would see lowlevel players in chat asking: "What is this golden dust I just got?" (since it can drop in any non-dlc zone).

Just fix the exploit, or ban those using it.

That can't be cipher farming, they have to be naturally hostile enemies. Those are yellow not red. Unless there is a bug in what was stated as being enemies or monsters.

How did you see this? You were grouped with them?

That said, yes, I would expect that these yellow mobs would qualify. My interpretation was that the justice targets and the simple animals in the wilderness (mudcrabs, etc) were the exceptions, not every yellow that we come across. Still, it is just easier to go after the reds, and so that is what I do, and what I recommend.

I can understand where he is coming from. There are parts of this game where it is clear that I care more about the game than the studio does. This should not happen, and when it does, it is either some sort of mental illness on my part, or a level of complacency on theirs.

I don't think I suffer from any associated mental illnesses.

Anyway, the best thing to do here is to not be more concerned about it than they are, and if this bothers you, find a different game.

Ok so here's what I have noticed. You can find any 2 of these mage fights. If you kill the one that says "you shouldn't have interfered" they will despawn. If you kill the other he will instantly respawn. I tried it successfully on about 7 or 8 different sets.

Kinda pointless imo but whatever floats their boat.
