Either strident springs or hundings hall. Both are equally appealing. Strident springs looks more like a home and can be decorated really nicely. Hundings hall just looks awesome and I really like the ocean and beach. I'll probably get both eventually

I havnt gone on the PTS, so Ive only had a look at some pictures. The medium houses look pretty big, so I might be happy with one of them. And pretty sure Im gonna get the Imperial one, main is Imperial and Im a big fan of Cyrodiil and the Imperials. :) As for getting all the houses, ehh that will cost a lot so one at a time. Not to mention furnishing, no clue how much that will cost.

Looking at the Mathiisen Manor, myself. At least for starters. I have the money waiting in the bank for that and it's very spacious - lots of room for setting up attuned crafting stations. I absolutely loathe going to the Clever Alchemist station, so having it at home really appeals. Also the TBS station as I am pretty much living there right now!

Once housing is in Vvardenfell, I'll move there! Home!
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend, my Shining Light. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

I'm a bit disappointed with the look of the houses. They look identical like any existing houses in the game. What's the point in having the same house with the same furnitures but pay just for the feeling that it's all mine.
I thought that developers will use their imagination to create some astonishing constructions which would be way better and advanced/sophisticated than just empty existing ones.

I'd expect to see much more invention in these models, like did the guy creating sky tower for Skyrim:

If I buy one for myself it will be a cosy little tree house to start with. Our guildmaster is buying a mansion to be a home base for the guild which I think is a cool idea. I'll maybe aim towards getting the achievement in the long run but am prepared to take my time with it.

I visited them all and to be honest, if I decide to get a manor, it's going to be the Daggerfall Overlook one and it's going to be purely for the title 'cuz with some of the large-sized houses(2.5m cheaper) you get a better interior layout, scenery, etc.

I really like the look of Hunding's Palatial Hall so I'll probably save up my coins for that one. I'm a bit disappointed that we don't get the option of a manor in the Redguard style. I was really looking forward to having something like the sprawling townhouses with courtyards in Abah's Landing.

...the ones best fitting my various characters, of course!

In the end, I will want one for every character, decorated in their personal style...

And since my characters are all just common adventurers and not nobles or something... I likely will end up with a collection of various smaller homes, i expect. But we shall see.

Honestly, I'm doing the same thing, where each character will get their own abode to decorate as they wish. And after going through them, none of them really wanted anything larger than a medium house anyway... many of the medium ones are quite nice, as most of those larger homes are just too much space for one person!

    My breakdown is...
    • EP Dunmer assassin - Velothi Reverie (Dunmer medium) - A well-sized Dunmer house in Deshaan that can double as a meeting house for the team. Most of the space of the large Dunmer house, but none of the yardwork!
    • EP Altmer volcanologist - Kragenhome (Dunmer small) - Of course she wants a place near the Stonefalls volcanoes where she can set up a lab, and that Ebonheart manor is just too big to be practical.
    • EP Khajiit witch - Humblemud (Argonian small) - A muddy little den away from the big city, but still in shouting distance of the Dhalmora trading house... I may eventually upgrade her to Stay-Moist Mansion for ultimate remoteness in the middle of Shadowfen, but that would be a long way off.
    • DC Bosmer hunter - Hammerdeck End (Orcish small) - Perfect as a small hunting cabin in the middle of Stormhaven
    • DC Argonian healer and Redguard knight - House of the Silent Magnifico (Redguard medium) - A well-sized Redguard home in the beautiful city of Sentinel. Warm and near the sea, my elderly lizard and her self-appointed bodyguard will happily share this one. (Though there are whispers among the rest of the team about gifting the Team Mom Hunding's as a retirement gift)
    • AD Khajiit basher - Bouldertree Refuge (Bosmer medium) - Silh'ki loves the jungles of Valenwood, so it makes sense for her to have her own tree house she and her monkey can climb around on.
    • AD Breton thief - Black Vine Villa (Altmer small) - A small, tasteful villa away from the city where she can hide when her hands get caught in other people's pockets. She'll also probably be making use of the free inn rooms once everyone else has moved out, to allow her to move between urban centers more easily.
    • AD Nord bandit - ...She's the only character a house didn't immediately click for, so we'll wait and see for her.

    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

    1) DC manor for the title.

    2) Hundings Palace for the fantastic outdoor space.

    3) Stay-Moist Manor just for the name. Where else would I store my 37 well read copies of "Lusty Argonian Maid"?! ;)

I'll get the three free rooms thank you. I'm not spending a gold on something I will not use.

Maybe I will visit occasionally the guild house if we get one, but I will not contribute directly to purchase it.

Gontrand de Bourbon (the greedy aristocrat) - LV50 Breton magsorc tank (DC)

I think only the one in your "home zone" is free, the other inns are 3000 each.

But I agree. I much prefer the locations of the small inns and small apartments because of the location.

I had my heart set on the Daggerfall castle before I saw it on PTS, because I wanted the title, but it is so dark and cold and bland that I can't see spending that kind of money on it. I wish there was no wall so there would at least be a nicer ocean view outside.

If Craglorn Cavern wasn't crown only, I would love to have it. But that will likely never happen.

Currently, I'm leaning towards Hunding's Palatial as my primary residence. Not my favorite architectural style overall but the ocean views, multiple balconies, private beach, extensive outdoor space with stables and spacious home is a combination that wins me over. It's like a manor without the manor cost. But I would probably get a second small home that has close access to a bank and merchant for use of guild store and repairing. I'm thinking the Captain's house in Daggerfall might fit the bill there, and also is close to writ pickup location and crafting stations. And the free apartment in Auridon will provide quick access to a stable (if needed for new alts) and a wayshrine so that's a good one to have.

Agree, as a matter of fact I walked by it with one of my chars during the witches festival and was like, 'that's the one I want' lol.

    Besides that:
    dunmar apart at flaming nix
    nord small in rift
    orc medium in bangkorai
    redguard large in stros

I actually think all of the bangkorai houses look good, but no point in buying three in the same region.
