Shadowy Disguise + Fire Staff Heavy non crit problems

Hey Devs could you please take a look at this issue. I think it has been around for a while. I went to Wrothgar to test out Inner + Shadowy + Fire Staff Heavy attack on giants and mammoths and it still does not guarantee a critical hit on the heavy attack. I was going off the integrated combat cloud numbers but my old LUI text log didn't indicate crits either. I thought it might be an inner light issue but it still has problems with just shadowy + heavy fire staff attack.

✭If they wanted to make it actually work every time, it would increase your crit chance to 100% briefly. Instead, I think they try to hardcode everything in, which is why mistform, something that is supposed to be immune to all cc, can be snared by gap closers, cc'ed by any PvE trap, and still can be stunned an rooted on occasion in PvP.The generally amicable yet sporadically salty magplar that may or may not have 1vXed you in Sotha Sil. ScruffyWhiskers✭✭✭✭✭After further testing it looks like I was operating with a Gross Conceptual Error. Tool tip says 3 seconds but since the attack has a flight time, it counts that as well and not just when you release the mouse button or it auto launches. This was made worse by the loss of the decrease in charge time that happened due to the passive change.
So if you want to get the crit, it is obviously best to be very close now. Even then it is tricky. You can risk a manual release but if you don't get the timing perfect you will not get a full charge heavy attack and that means considerably less damage.1 -
