✭✭I can't recall ever getting an email about a sale. I just watch for Crown Store maintenance. Maintenance seems to be code for changing prices.4 -
JWKe✭✭✭✭I might've recalled an email about a clown sale but that was a LONG time ago. Most of the emails i get from them now is announcing some type of Limited Time mount or some DLC sale or some promotional invite a friend type email.1 -

Same here, but I thought maybe I had missed something in the past.
It strikes me as odd because I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that the Crown Sales were offered to create a quick cash infusion. Yet if that were the case it would seem they would want to advertise it for maximum results.
I'm no economist. Perhaps they have a reason for wanting more money, but not too much from Crown Sales.

Yea, there is an email that goes out. It say's something to the effect, "Crown store sale on ##/##/#### - ##/##/####". During that time they will put the crowns on sale, but I've always seen them go on sale after the products in the crown store go on sale so it's not a double discount.1 -

Same, and I've just gone through my last 12 months of ES emails. None there. Some mention you can buy crowns in bundles, eg. last Black Fredas, but there was no mention of them being discounted, which they were.
I suspect they don't advertise the discount because they want people paying full price for crowns.1 -

I think you're onto something here, but I have to wonder why then would they ever offer sales? I'm sure there is a logical reason, but it eludes me.

To have it both ways.
Items like the Elk Mount can be priced at 4500 crowns because they point to the discounted price and say, "Well that's only $20 if you bought them on sale. We're not monsters."
But if they don't advertise the sales then there's not too many people buying crowns at that price and people just get hit the $45 price tag.Never gotten an email about it. I've only ever learned about crown sales here on the forums, when other members open threads about it.
If you're playing when a sale is on, they do show up in the launcher news box.
