Question about penetration

So i am wondering if the sharpened armor reduction is applied and THEN the 20% reduction from the maul passive, or if it is the 20% reduction and THEN the sharpened bonus. I don't know if there is any way to test this but if I am correct on my math, if the maul passive is applied and then the 5160 (gold sharpened) without any CP into sharpened against a player with 30k resistance, that would put them at 18,840 resistance. Now if you subtract the 5160 and then the 20% reduction from maul, it they are left with 19,872 resistance. I know the difference is small, but it is still a factor in how much damage you do.

nordsavage✭✭✭✭✭It does not work like that. It is 20% of the total resist plus 5160. Not the total minus 5160 then 20% of whatever's left or any variation thereof. Penetration is not armor reduction it is how much armor is ignored.
