So I'm doing the intro housing quest in the AD starting in VG.

All goes well until it's time to get some furniture before I'm allowed to claim my cell...err... room. I go to the housing furnishings vendor in Skywatch but his inventory is empty... and he tells me he couldn't sell me anything anyway because I have no home to deliver it too.

Thanks for this Catch-22 moment :)

    Yeah, same. I've checked both Ebonheart and Riften and they're both blank. Not sure how else to advance the quest unless I waste time pickpocketing.

    Make sure all of your add-ons are off. Particularly ones that offer means of filtering, like Advanced Filters, will bug the shop window out and not cause anything to show up. However this may be due to how the shops seem to be missing the usual filters that ZOS put in there.

    Worked for me too. It was Advanced Filters causing the problem.

    Advanced Filters bugs the vendor's inventory out, and also Awesome Guild Store, I've been told.

    I had the same issue earlier today, but when I logged on tonight I could see the inventory for sale. It didn't work on multiple characters earlier but it now seems to work on several different characters and in 3 different maps.
    Semi retired from the trading aspects of the game.

    Just a bump on this thread since it's the first result on Google. This problem appears to persist in live but can be fixed by updating or disabling the addons.

    Addons require updating, nothing wrong here with the game itself.

    You should always update your add-ons when ESO patches. Often there are changes behind the scenes. The community of add-on developers is working hard to make sure everything is working, and when an add-on is actively developed, bugs are often fixed while PTS is still up, but if you don't update nothing can be done. :)

    Just run Minion while you wait for the patching, and everything is fine.
