For someone new to PVP can you share any tips?

Step 1: Run flavor of the month proc build
Step 2: Light attack your way to victory
Step 3: Defend those broken builds at all costs on the forums.

Don't sit on a horse in the open. You are an easy target. If you stop to check your map. Get off your mount and get into stealth.

Always assume there is a NB in stealth close by. Cause they are freaking every where!

I suggest you buy another game for pvp. After seeing the new patchnotes of the new "Balance patch" we've been waiting for for months, i can't say anything more than that i'm starting to lose hope about this game.

If you still want to try: Don't duel random jumping people in the cities since they most likely use a cheese build.

Don't copy a build and expect to be good, that's not how this game works. I suggest you take the good parts you like from them and make your own that works for you. That way you will also get an understanding about how it all works.

Don't run into zergs (i know, it's hard to not do that).

Get selens and be a proc potato if you don't care about anything but AP, you wont need much more than light attacks with that.
