Let's just align motif with changing appearance via style stones and maybe a base material

It was cool at launch and then once many reached VR15-16 it was odd.
Somehow I often feel I'm missing something cause with 9 trait crafting the dungeon drop sets are sometimes in motif that aren't released that look waaay better.
Same for Trials.
You'd think that the housing update of attuned crafting stations would attune not just crafting stations but allow ppl to mimic armor and weapon drops when they added mimic stones.
So we have two things that would offer value to motifs but neither are being used.
Even worse they are adding more motifs in the crown store and some don't have style mats and only use mimic stones
We should be allowed to changet the style of any dropped armor set to any style known on the character.

This. I think every armour/weapon should be morphable to any style using something similar to mimic stone or something similar. A year ago, I just loved spending my time in cities, looking at awesome combinations of armours people come up with. Now it's all the same due to few ugly meta sets and costumes that people try to hide it with. Come on ZOS!

I've always felt the same about these two things, but I've come to terms with the way that ZOS does things. They want to cater to casuals, since they're making revenue for people who a. buy the game and play for a month or b. buy the game play for a month each time a dlc comes out (while subbing).
So the concept of hard to obtain 9 trait crafting and nirnhoned items goes against that mission. Casuals will feel intimidated by a system that it will take investment to achieve and will be less likely to play and pay.

Disagree.
Lets just go back to crafted being superior to dropped (or even equal) and then you make choices and deal with them.
Im thinking this everytime I see they add a new motif.
"why bother, I cant use it anyway since I dont use any crafted sets"
