It still amuses me that there are never ending supplies of less than positive players who are hating on others; noobs (whatever the term), lower level players, or slam/belittle/shame others on their build/class/play style. There are so many players who are outright condescending, and who think they are better than others. Unfortunately, you run into these types in random groups as well as within guilds. Why are there so many people that can't grasp on the concepts that "this is only a game"; that a video game is made and meant for everyone to enjoy. In veteran dungeons and trials (particularly random groups), there are so many mindsets that you should or must be at a certain or minimum CP or need to be certain titles to join a group. It just seems like these people are making it seem like this is a job or something, and not entertainment or something to enjoy. People can't enjoy "this game" when they are being kicked out of a group or dungeon, or being told they are not high enough levels for a dungeon of trial.

I'm sure not everyone will agree with me, but I feel if everyone is contributing in the fight, in any dungeon or trial, it will be fine. It doesn't matter what dungeon, trial (vet or not), you can easily figure out the mechanics during gameplay. Yes, it doesn't matter what level you are, maxed out or not, you may or will wipe a couple or few times in some vet dungeons; particularly in vet trials. Especially, when you join a random group, there may be certain players that may be their first time. How else will they get the experience or get their feet wet?

After completing many vet dungeons, and yes, even a couple vet trials; to me, every efforts count. It doesn't matter what level you are. I have completed many vet dungeons with those with CP in 100s and even in the double digits. Vet trials.. well, you tend to run more into those with elitist mindsets. You are going to wipe in a vet trial. It doesn't matter what level or title you are. Then, you get those, one or two, that complain about others; slamming build/armor/equipment and play style, then, causing people to leave the group. The trial then becomes a complete wipe. The times when we ever complete a vet trial were when there wasn't anyone complaining about anyone else, but instead talking constructively about how we could do better and get through it.

Not much one can do when you run into these type of players, but say whatever.. this is just a game and move on. There are actually positive people in this game, but when you run into the not-so-positive players, you just want to press a filter to block them from ever running into them in a group. Can we have one?

I believe the game has an Ignore list. They can still use emotes to try and trigger you, but I just laugh when people use emotes. There are probably blocker addons as well.

I think it's a good idea to tie the ignore list into the grouping tool, so if you are joining a public group you are never paired with someone you ignored. This might make joining a group for someone with a long ignore list take a bit longer but likely would make someone who takes exception with a lot of people have a better experience.

My ignore list has like 2 people on it so I feel like if I played this game again I wouldn't have much trouble finding a group.

    Simple solution, just ignore them.

I always find it funny when using the groupfinder that you run into elitists, really dont understand why they are in the groups if you cant stand to wipe dont use the F-ing group finder.

Your right it is just a game so they shouldn't let the negative behavior get to them.

    This, yes!
Yesterday my husband and I had a horrible dungeon run through Group Finder, with two clowns who were clearly only interested in farming the final boss for weapons, and so rushed ahead through everything skipable and made it impossible for him to do the quest on his alt. I blocked both the offenders. They also tried to kick my husband at the beginning, since his alt wasn't lvl 50 yet, only lvl 44.

Queue again for another try at completing the dungeon quest, and end up with the same two exact clowns I had just blocked, now in our group again. It wasn't fun.

Why be normal when you can be better?

    Elissandra Ravenwing, Magicka Dragonknight Healer
    Lady Kalila, Stamina Templar DPS
    Stands-in-Danger, Nightblade Saptank
    Zalarah, Stamina Dragonknight DPS

Ha ha. I know. There were also certain times when someone just came in so they can just get a particular weapon or piece and then left when they did, without going through the rest of the dungeon with us. I also had times when someone who had complained and left, then re-queued back into out group and then left again. Another time, we made it to the final boss with just the three of us (vet dungeon), then that certain someone who had previously left re-queue back in, but stayed (because I'm sure it was the final boss and we were already killing down the boss). Then he was the first to leave again right away after we killed the boss. Funny how people are..

Some people are bad at the game, some people are okay and some are really awesome at it, and we can all look like one of those some days.

Maybe if advice weren't immediatly condescending to you, you'd realize how many of the people you meet are quite nice.
If you quote someone, and intend for them to see what you have said, be sure to Mention them with @[insert name].

I only do the Undaunted daily pledges now, and often can't find any friends online, so I use the dungeon finder.

I've met some awesome folks and made friends this way.

The other day there was a tank in the group in double digits. I mentioned that he may not be ready for a vet run, and he responded with "Watch me."

He tanked that thing with no problems.

A while ago, a guy asked me if I was using food. I was using a stamina only food, and he gave me some that buffed stamina AND health. It made all of the difference.

I hadn't ever done any provisioning so I immediately began farming ingredients and raised my level to 50 so I could craft the same food. I wouldn't have ever found out about it if he hadn't gone out of his way to help me.

Now the game is all about groups for me. It's where the fun is. Yes, there is an occasional elitist, but I don't let them get me down. I've gotten kicked a couple times, but I just re-queue.

What I would really like is if you could list your favorite role for Friends List. That way when you invite a friend to group, you know what you will get.

Last time they tried to do any update to the group finder, it didnt work for me for like 3-5 months. So while i would love lots of these suggestions, i hope they leave the group finder alone.

    Ever so helpful.

As to the OP, I agree with most of what you said. The only point I would make is Trials on HM are completely different monster. That takes coordination, and while I try to help all, there just isn't enough room to carry lower cp through HM trials. Let me rephrase that, not enough room to carry more than a couple. It's not so much with dungeons as trials, most dungeons you can burn through with straight dps, not the case with trials. So while you can still complete vet dungeons trials everybody has to be on the same page as it makes all the difference when you can't get, say a good healer or tank. I use those 2 because they are important to keep you alive and bosses aggro, but also the buffs and debuffs they provide.
