Melee Attacks?

Are these Dragonknight skills considered "melee" attacks?

1) Empowering Chains/Unrelenting Grip
2) Burning Talons/Choking Talons

They don't seem like they would be, but I'm confused because I'm told that Ambush (Nightblade skill) is considered a "melee" attack. It's a gap closer, so I guess DK chains would be considered the same? Also, Burning/Choking Talons are 6 meter attacks, and I've been reading that 7m or less is considered a "melee," so does that automatically make Talons a melee?

    Do you have PTS? If so, roll a max level Imperial DK. If a skill procs the Imperial "Red Diamond" heal, you know it counts as a melee attack.

    Anyone know?

    i would put those under class abilities (chains /talons) - i've found that only abilities under weapons skills (duel wield / twohand) only proc items that read melee abilities

    i would think so too - but my templar - to which i reference my above statement - has never proc a melee ability using biting jabs on either morph.

    i have messed around a lot with this - jabs procs nothing for me - it never has - i am a ps4 player - so i will mess around with changing options to reflect scrolling dmg/healing meters to test what abilities are doing what kind of dmg numbers -

    if you have any information about this - a reference to some link i can look more into it would be appreciated-

    I just went on PTS. Equipped Advancing Yokeda (extra crit on melee attacks) and Selene's (bear proc on melee attacks). I had only Biting Jabs on my bar. I did not weave. My weapon crit went from 31% unbuffed to 49.8% buffed. 10% is from the Major Savagery of Biting Jabs but the other 8.8% was from Advancing Yokeda. Selene proc on Jabs. Red Diamond (still called "Star of the West" in API) proc on Jabs. So that is 3 different sets/passives requiring melee damage that proc on Jabs.
