Do they not scale the gear to your level?

I'm pretty sure if they gave lead to someone CP160 or above that everything would be scaled accordingly with the additional GF buffs.

I was randomly put in a group of people under cp 160 except the leader. We stuggled, but it was a learning group(was told as soon as I joined) so I kept my cool. Everything was scaled to the leaders lvl.

    Lead doesn't matter.
Everyone gets loot according to their level.

But if, for example, a stamina wood elf gets a BiS magicka Monster helmet that he can't use... he could simply trade it to somebody in the group.
    IF HE WASN'T CP120! I mean, who wants a CP120 helm?

OT: here is what happened to me a while back:

Loot scales to the person who pick stuff up - there's no way to get a cp120 to pick up cp160 stuff regardless of who is the leader and what not.

So if you want to be able to trade max gear everyone needs to be cp160+

Problematic part bolded. See, this is why grinders can be every bit as bad as PvPers when it comes to toxicity. Why wouldn't you have 'kept your cool' otherwise? If this hadn't been stated, what would you have done? Going by your reaction, it sounds like you would've gotten very, very angry in an entitled, privileged, bratty sort of way. Instead of, you know, quietly and politely declining to join the group, and apologising for leaving, telling them in a non-patronising way that you're of a competitive mindset and that you're not always compatible with casual groups.

This is why I don't like MMOs reaching out to competitive people. It just means that there's content which is generally only ran by toxic, aggressive, horrible people. I see threads all the time about refusing people based upon CP or armour, just acting all entitled and borderline/sociopathic about it. It's not a good look for an MMO's general forum, if you ask me.

This post shows that this person views themselves as a sort of glorious godhead, their divine presence needing to be earned by creatures of worth. Without that, you're not welcome in the presence of such divinity and they're going to get really, really very cross if you even dare try. With attitudes like this, it's no wonder casuals don't bother with group content, trials especially. Which is a point I keep making to ZOS. There's just such an air of entitlement, privilege, over-inflated ego, and exaggerated self-worth. It's nauseating. Are these people so shallow that they can't look at themselves and see the problem, here?

Sorry, OP. I like the joke a lot, but no. This guy is the reason people don't play with high CP players.

That bickering is almost as bad as the bickering between those PvP badass kids you encounter in Cyrodiil. "you died, so you suck ha ha" "No, no, I only died 4 times", "4 times more than the rest of us ... nah, nah", "My dad is bigger than yours", "no, no, my dad is bigger"

I have no idea why anyone would take any satisfaction from that type of argument. It's like some people resort to being kids when it comes to defending their in-game honour. I often wonder if some of you people will sit your grand-kids down in later years and tell them about your in-game heroics, how you bested some scrub in a dungeon with less deaths and so on.

I was kicked twice yesterday from group finder dungeons because I was on a new toon. They saw my level 30 healer and kicked me, little did they know I had more champion points than the three combined and various vet trial leaderboard scores. It says more about their own skills that they couldn't feel comfortable doing Fungal Grotal 1 with a non lvl 50 healer :)

You shouldn't be able to kick people, if you don't like the group you're in... Leave.

@AuldWolf not all competitive people are toxic. Competitive people who are entitled and almost no respect for others are the toxic ones. Bow this thread is extremely cringe worthy.

When people ask for my loot i like to put it into the trade window and then cancel it. And when they ask what happened im all, oh crap some how it got destroyed! Then to teach them a lesson I delete my character.

Anyway i never thought i would see a thread complaining because they couldnt take someone elses loot from them.

The problem is that this run was put together specifically for farming for gear and helmits. It was not a random vet or a pledge. I'm not sure why the leader of this group invited this low CP player to participate in this run in the first place.

I simply join the group that one of the players from one of my traders guilds was advertising In the guild chat.
