Should I be doing vet dungeons?

I have 350 champion points and heal normal dungeons with minimal fuss but I feel like I should be doing veteran dungeons because of my level. I don't want to pull my hair out though. I guess what I'm asking is does anyone else not do veteran content and just stick to normal difficulty?

    It's up to you really

I'd say before doing them it may help to watch a video of someone else running them but it's up to you

You'd get another skill point for completing each Vet dungeon tho

I only run normal if I'm training a new build or running solo to complete an older pledge.

If you want to run vet dungeons go for it. It sounds like you are familiar with the mechanics so you should do OK. If you're concerned about stuffing up or bad people in pugs try running with a guild or friends.

If you don't want to be pulling your hair out you might want to avoid dlc vet dungeons. Otherwise the rest of the vet dungeons shouldn't be too stressful.

Honestly, as long as your build/gear setup is solid, your CP is not a deal breaker (even below 160).

Give it a go. Worst case, practice some more and try again :)

What that guy said. Don't be afraid to DPS too, you don't need to heal smother them.

You can always try some of the less difficult vet dungeons like Wayrest Sewers 1 and 2 or Spindleglutch 1 and 2 to see how you go. Most of the stress you might feel will be brought about by others if you are using group finder.

I am nearing 700 cp and still avoid taking my healer into the harder vet dungeons if I am using group finder. I'll run anything with my friends but taking her into group finder leaves me open to not meeting other peoples expectations.

Do what you are comfortable with and don't let anyone push you into doing vet dungeons just because you have a stack of CP.

CP561 here, and I stick to Normal Dungeons most of the time because I know I can do them, and I'd rather my time be easier when getting the Undaunted pledges done for the Key. The only time I'll ever go into a Vet Dungeon is for a Monster Set head piece I REALLY want, but even then actually finishing it isn't certain. My guild tried doing Vet Tempest last night and all was fine up until the final Boss, which wiped us over and over and over again no matter what we tried.

Moral of the story, you only do Vet Dungeons if you actually want to. You don't need to, not unless you want to complete the 2pc bonus of a Monster armor set.

I only tried Vet Tempest once - we planned on two manning normal but were set to vet group by mistake. We decided to try our luck since we were in there and did fine until the last boss kept wiping us and gave up.

Vet Direfrost is another one I do not enjoy and have not completed - even in a 4 man group - that final boss just heals far too quickly.

Do it! You can do veteran dungeons.

A few of the easier ones (in my opinion), just to get your feet wet so you adjust to the scaling:
    - Wayrest Sewers 2 (and 1, aside from the untauntable one-shot mechanic on the last boss)
    - Spindleclutch 2 (and 1, one-shot from final boss again)
    - Banished Cells 2 (and 1, ditto on final boss)
    - Elden Hollow 1 and 2 (1 may be a long final boss depending on the dps)
    - Vaults of Madness
    - Fungal Grotto 1
    - Volenfell (a bit of fancy footwork required for the final bosses)
    - City of Ash 1
    - Darkshade Caverns 1 (be aware the optional boss before the net change CAN and should be interrupted, some don't know this)

Once you are comfortable with these, you are ready to try the others. I would recommend saving the DLC ones for last, of course, as they are the toughest.
Why be normal when you can be better?

    Lady Kalila, Stamina Templar DPS
    Stands-in-Danger, Nightblade Saptank

For me it's just knowing your class. There are a few toons I only run vet content with. I have their rotations and builds setup. The others I run normal on. My tipping point is generally if I can solo a normal dungeon with that character then it's/I am good enough to run vet with that character.

You most certainly can complete vet dungeons at your level, in terms of skills & gear available to you, and magica/health pool. If you have completed the normal variants then you will also know the dungeons well.

I was healing vets way below that level with no issue, so I'm sure you will do well.

The main issue I find with vet dungeon pugs is that there seems to be a dearth of strong DD players out there. Consequently I find vet PUGs can take an age to finish unless I wade in and start DPSing with my healer once the group is topped up and my HOTs are on the go. So, as someone else says, don't be scared to started doing damage too, once you are comfortable things are going well.
