Skill leveling after 50.....

Guys,

I know this may have been asked before but I'm struggling to find the answer I'm looking for......

What I want to know is, can you still level up skills once you reach class lvl 50? I want to max out my crafting and make new armour, weapons etc but I don't seem to be able to do this anymore since all I get now are champion points. means I am stuck with whichever metal or material in crafting I have before champion mode kicked in or are skill points available?

Any help on this?

Yes, you can still deconstruct to level crafting.

Cool but what about crafting in another metal? It's alright to deconstruct until your hearts content but are you able to construct in another metal or material?

Not much point deconstructing if I'm unable to make armour or weapons etc in a higher grade metal as I'd not have the skill points to select that (if that makes sense).

Guess I'll have to give that a try. Do you still get skill points if you repeat a dungeon you've already completed?

Ah, yeah what Nidro wrote. There are a lot of skill points to be had...

I'll also add that crafting writs will give you some lower level resources, it may not help you now but could help later if you start crafting/leveling another character or you need to craft lower level stuff for someone else etc.

No you don't, but like Nidro says: there's plenty to do.
You could consider using an add-on for skyshart-hunting. But some are in delves, so you might wanna kill the boss there and do a quest or two. Public dungeons will give you a 'group event' skillpoint.
The main-story quests also give you a skillpoint ... And so on ..and so on...

Even beyond CP561. I'm around CP600 and there are even some I see that are around CP800+ now. You still get XP, but just are capped at 561 champion points.

Skyshards, certain storyline quests, PvP ranks, etc... There are tons of skill points in this game. You just have to earn them.

    Skyshard quests - 1sp/3
dungeon quests - 1 sp each once
main quest - 1 sp each
mages guild final - 2 sp once
fighter's guild - not sure i recall any
most zone main line quests (intermims and final) and a few others - 1 sp each so do the old gold and silver
    PVP i suppose.

To put it simply, i have some cp160+chars who got there old school (vet ranks thru the whole gold and silver content plus dlcs) and some who made it there by getting into low end vet ranks or level 50 and getting the champions point replace vet ranks promotion to cp 160 (not doing all the other zones gold and silver and shards etc)

There is well over 100sp difference in those two groups on a character by character basis. thats your metal advancements right there.

I'm usually not one for addons, but I did get the skyshards one - just google it, that way they will show on your map.

    AsianPanda,

Not sure if anyone really answered your question, but to craft armor at higher metal levels you need to put points into your crafting skill line.

Go to your skills and look at crafting, you will see all those passives you can unlock. Of course you will need the more skill points if you don't have any which can be obtained by getting all your skyshards. Or you can reset your points and move them around a little.

I'm not sure how much you know about crafting, but remember you have to research traits too before you can make armor/weapons in specific traits.

If you already knew this, just ignore everything i said :)
