The smoke bomb's aim and range are actually even better. It's damned near only limited by LoS, about 90 yard range I'd guess. It's aim works a little bit different, it'll hit whatever happens to be in your crosshairs when you press it, no delay.

I had a look through my mementos this morning and it seems I do have the mudball one. Must have got it near the beginning of the festival and about the only memento I haven't yet received a duplicate. Can't even remember getting it. I've had the hoods umpteen times.1 -
