Unable to Play, Help?

I've just downloaded the game and as soon as I press that Play button it crashes.....

Just 5min before that I could get all the way into Log In where then it would say the Log In Time out.

What am I Doing wrong?

    Which platform and server, and if PC is it direct or through Steam? System specs if PC (NB: it no longer supports DX9)?

    PC and I couldn't get far enough to choose a server I think. Direct. I don't exactly understand what you mean at the end :/

    Try this: Press the gear button on the top right of the launcher to go to your settings. Then find and uncheck the "Run 64Bit Game Client" check box. That fixed some problems that I was having before.

    (I had actually reinstalled it Yesterday as I havent played in awhile and wasnt working when I tried getting on after a few months. So i've needed to now reinstall it twice...)

    Please take note. It may not be a problem on your end but and issue with the game servers itself. Even though you have not connected to a server, the game has to keep some sort of connection to know which server to connect to. And ESO do have several problems with their servers crashing and timing out. It could be a possibility that the servers are having issues right now and it is preventing you from logging in.

    Did you try running in both 32 and 64 bit mode? What antivirus program are you using? Which operating system?

    Yes just tried to do the 64 bit untick of the box but still unsuccessful. i'm using a Toshiba, and I honestly don't know what antivirus i'm using. Windows Defender?
