you don't have to do it
you can group for the quests

Doing the same quests over and over and over again every 24 hours is so repetitive and annoying yet I feel with this event is a real love/hate relationship .. also I feel I am going to miss out of the achievement for lockpicking al chests within 35 secs or less just because my skill level is not high enough.. I don't understand why we couldent group up and tackle itanyways let me know guys

I was told that the locking picking was a personal kind of quest and that grouping was not allowed that's why I stated that point

Yes what I mean is there is an xp increase for the NLF, is there not? if so grouping will reduce xp gain from quests as I understand u share xp when in group, no?

Group for the quest activity. Get the achievement. Disband the group before turning the quest in. You're not awarded XP until you turn the quest back in to Breda.
Ive enjoyed the event so far. I found it more interesting than grinding skulls in the last one.
I found the dialog to be entertaining and interesting as well.
I agree it would have been nice to have some holiday decor in the main cities and around the festival areas at least.
My biggest complaints are
The Alcaire castle quest, where you have to spam the command to perform for 5 minutes because the game can't handle more than 1 or 2 people doing it at once apparently.
The fishing holes and event areas getting so crowded that it was difficult to complete them sometimes. What happened to map instancing to alleviate that? Doesn't seem to be working right.
The RNG on some items is horrendous.
In the orphans quest and the Betnick (spelling) quest where you gather the meat and honey....
You need to increase the spawns for the animals you have to kill to complete the quest. 10 people spamming one spawn is a bit rediculous.
Maybe it's me but mud balls instead of snow balls doesnt make a lot of sense, although I'm from a place where it snows in winter and can understand why snow balls might not make sense to someone else.

Maybe holly on fireplace mantles or snowy doormats or something.

Witches festival on the other hand you could play what you'd normally do and still partake in the event (except PVP).

The festival offers a new drink recipe called "Bergama Warning Fire" for increasing max stamina and health recovery. Its pop-up tooltip says it is served only "during the New Life Festival." I made a bunch of them for the future. But will my drinks disappear or be made unusable when the festival is over? I have had items from other festivals that became unusable after the festival.
There seems to be a bug with Breda's Magnificent Mead. After you drink it, and before the 2-hour period ends, if you drink it again, thinking it will reset the timer, it will remove the XP bonus instead. Even the mead's pop-up in your character screen doesn't say "100% more XP" anymore. Keeping drinking it won't help. You have to wait till the 2-hour period is really over, then drink it again, and then it will say "100% more XP".
