Ending The War

Well, generally people seem to want three things:

    1. Less lag.
    2. Less lag.
    3. Less lag.

But, if we consolidate those, we can see a couple of other things many new and more experienced PvPers want:

    1. Less lag (*with* large epic battles raging in several spots across the map).
    2. Reduction of infinite resource/creeping power builds with insta-kill combos all over.
    3. More to do in Cyro.

I recall Sypher and a few others had some interesting input on dealing with #2. I and others have suggested fun things for #3 (like mobile flags, i.e. defending/capturing caravans, expanding existing achievements and adding new ones). The solution for #1 seems like wishful thinking to a lot of long term players.

The question for this thread seems to be whether people who want or need such things can ever reasonably expect to get them, whether they are even remotely a priority for ZOS. I don't see Cyrodiil being shut down unless it gets to the point where there is one campaign per platform and each one is a ghost town. But that doesn't stop "what could have been" from being a damn shame.

However people feel about the current state of Cyrodiil, this would be a great time for someone from the PvP team to share a little news on what is coming next. Or at least the broad area(s) being worked on?

I think Cyrodiil is very important and has given rise to a whole sub community surrounding it. that open world feel is good and i just wish more zones had open flagged pvp.

i dont necessarily think zos should do anything. with the amount of bitching in regards to the lag on trueflame, we just need those players to funnel into the other campaigns and youd see a vast improvement.

sometimes folks, its not all on ZOS. its up to the player base to do the right thing.

I only play ESO because of the PvP.

The PvE part of the game is boring, bland and flat. Yes, the animations, graphics and mechanics are great but that doesn't hold a game together.

the game was heavily advertised as a PvP endgame mmo and the reason I wanted to play this.

Yes, PvP suffers from bad coding and mistakes. Procs sets, CP-campaigns, poison making, overtuned balancing ideas, lag, patch 1.2.3 etc.

But it can be saved if they actually focus on fixing PvP and it could be great again.

I stil play because there is currently no better RvRvR game. And because I am part of a great community. I certainly would miss that.

The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Rofl...that would be one quick way to end the game for a lot of players.

If you want battleground type PvP, go hang around in one of the area's in IC....Or go play another game.

*** they added dueling already to the game for those who want 1v1 fights, and if you want to fight other guilds you can easily set something up..We did it for years in DAOC.

It might be fine if you attack first and have loads of stamina. It totally wrecks magicka players imho. Also on a no-CP campaign you have not as much resources as a CP campaign.

the 3-stat poison debuff just totally sucks. Other poisons are not bad though.

Few words about poisons: poisons are totaly fine due to current heavy armor sustain meta. I enjoy to wrecking all those tanky *** with 60% cost increase poisons or double damage health poisons so they go crying to the forums. Fix heavy armor or leave poisons alone.

I agree on the heavy armor tanks. But please think also about us light armor magicka users. No armor and no sustain thanks to the poisons. And we lack burst compared to stamina users. It's hard to survive as melee magblade.

Wait! I have a better Idea! Let me explain.
Change max group size to 8.

Upgrade the servers to handle more players.

Add real incentives to fight outside of usual locations. They could add daedric artifacts to Cyrodiil as buffs, hide them in the delves, towns and random locations.

Remove Jesus Beam, poisons, proc sets and destro ulti.

Add soft caps and PvP only armour to truly balance the game.

That a shame, I know. Poisons are not the cure from heavy armor cancer - they like chemotherapy so they also hurt medium and light armor users. But overral they are good and should stay as they are unless outher, bigger balance issues are not fixed.

Less and less people play pvp. I played nearly an year only pve because of no playable campain, ping 500+. The lagg is better now but still bad against pre 1.6.
In 1.6 and after they intudruced so much *** that the server must handel
    Cp passives
Class passives that works on other players
    Stuipid aoe cap
Stam regen disable while block sneak sprint
    More and more proc sets
    And others
To handel this they dont fix it, they just reduce the pop cap (also at the moment there wouldnt more people to fill larger campains) and now there are so less player that the are meet at 1-2 places on the map. Chalmen or Alessia, somtimes roeback, this end always in lagg. No reasons to go to other keeps, because you will not find other players for pvp fun.
They know exactly why it laggs, but how would easy confess his fail.

    Sry for bad eng

PVP Saint-Bud magicka Templar: AR 49
PVE Lord Victarion mDK : dro'm-Athra-Destroyer pre Morrowind retired for crafting
PVE Ramsay-Bolton magicka NB: Voice of Reason Clockwork City Patch retired
VAA hm/ VHRC hm/ VSO hm/ VMOL hm/ VHOF hm/ VAS hm clear

Stop playing PVE because its boring, content not disigned for melee players and class balance and sustain is ***
