piercing cp dps

How important is this passive for an 561 cp dps? How much should be invested in it?

    For PvE I would recommend non. There are much better ways of betting penetration than that and most well formed Trial groups will have enough Debuffs and Buffs to remove any and all resistance of the mobs.

    For pvp its roughly 660 penetration = 1% dmg increase.

    That passive is total useless... If people have Sharpened, Major Breach + Major Fracture, Minor Breach + Minor Fracture, Night Mother Gaze, Piercing Weapon Glyph, etc. You dont need that passive at all, you will overpenetrate everything.. I was using Spinner set and my spell penetration was above the 19k, no point since in open world, max resistance of mobs is 10k and in Trials and Dungeons is 18k, so I switch my Spinner for a Mother's Sorrow and its waaaaaaay better...

    He got my point anyway... Stacking penetration passives and gear is kinda useless in pve right now if you already have a Sharpened weapon and debuffs, once you hit the 18k breach, all the other numbers above that are a waste. He rather try to get more critical or spell/weapon dmg. This for pve exclusively...

    In pvp its a different story...

    This a document i got a while back. I switched to its suggested cp distribution an got higher dps. Its harder for stam to get to pen cap as most trial grps cater to mag.
