There are map pins for navigators. Ships and boats are an anchor, and carts are... well a cart symbol. If you hover over the map pins, it even tells you which destinations the navigator goes to. This is in the vanilla game, not from an addon.
Right. These are the Transport Services icons:
These same icons are used for Navigators and all other transportation services.
When you mouse-over them, you get theicon and the details of where you can travel to.
Should've used the Navigatori had to ride horseback from Davon's Watch to Windhelm yesterday
That's what I was saying just above. The Navigators really aren't promoted very well.
For real. I didn't know they existed until I read about them on the forum.
That's not the case. There are no level restrictions on zone access.GreenhaloX wrote: »I think the other alliance areas can only be unlocked at 20 or 30 level (non-CP.) If that is the case, just grind or do quests until you level up enough so where those areas are unlocked.

You may not realize this but this game has a constant influx of new players. Lots and lots of them. Few of those player will be able to participate in this New Life Festival because they don't have the way shrines. They can get there but it's a bit complicated for a new player. So if you are not doing anything, or you have a small chunk of time left over before you have to log, run a quick shuttle to the festival, or from the festival to the quest spots. I saw a lot of people helping them out, one even made a stack of twice spiked ale for the stonetooth achievement and was giving them all out to the people doing the festival. Just hit up some lowbie areas and ask in zone if anyone needs a shuttle to the New Life Festival. New players are vital to the longevity of a game so you will be doing yourself a favor in the long run as well.
I had to get an AD vet char - whom has not done Cadwell's Gold - to Betnikh. I used the 'Locations' cart from Elden Root (Grahtwood) to Daggerfall, caught a ship from Daggerfall to Stros M'Kai and from there, a sailing boat to Betnikh. I could probably have sailed directly from Daggerfall but I was too impatient to find the correct sailing vessel and so took the scenic route. On the way I picked up 6 skyshards, resulting in 2 (much needed) skill-points for the said Char.

In Daggerfall, the same boat that takes you to Stros M'kai also takes you to Betnikh, you just pick different dialogue tree options. (And if anyone else is wondering, it's the little bitty boat near the lighthouse.)
If I was to help one out, do I just group with them?

I didn't even know they work for something else other than take you in and out starting zones or, in EP case, from Shadowfen to Eastmarch! Also, tell them about the travel services offered by Navigators, as they aren't promoted very well.

Not really. If they join a decent sized guild they can travel to guild members.
And if they don't join a decent sized guild the chances of them staying in the game a long time is less.
So, OPs suggestion isn't needed.
