    Running in a large group (5-Zerg), fighting other large groups in the wilderness.
    Eight players feels like the sweet spot to me.

    Normally it guarentees at least one healer, and reliably taking resources/towns without risking getting punked from stealth. Plus reliable heals.

    Anything more and things start to fall apart/get zergy. But right around eight players is that sweet spot.

    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    Running in a small group (2-4), skirmishing throughout the wilderness.
    Curious as to when 5+ players became a "large group" boarderline zerg.

    When the game first came out a zerg was considered nearly 60+ people. Around about a year ago a zerg was considered about 30+ people. Now a zerg is anything over 5+ people... or simply any group that outnumbers yours...

    Makes no sense.

    Running alone, hoping to find groups of enemy players for 1vX fights.
    If running large groups wasn't so irresponsibly negligent upon the server's limitations, I would say that play style is the most fun.

    Most of the old schoolers realized very early on that being in groups where the goal was to stay close and cast AoE's while in coordination with a single decision-maker was hurting others' gameplay experience.

    Some people didn't really learn this.

    I still vacillate between being angry towards groups who continue to play this ball playstyle, and compassionately understanding them for the poor sports that they are. Sometimes, it's my own faction's guilds doing this that I want to see win. Not always though. I almost never run with these guilds any more, but yes, I've done it before.

    One of the wisest suggestions I've seen came from @manny254 : limit group size to 12. Maybe less. I have no clue why they don't do this.

    Sadly computer science, physics and IT logistics are such that lag will never be solved. And human nature is such that some people are still going to try and exploit what we know as "ball groups" to get their precious, precious AP. At the expense of others' fun.

    Doesn't mean I don't hate you for it.

    8-12 man groups is what i usually lead and run every day. Mainly fighting at resources or areas between the other two alliances fighting.

    That's what I love in PvP.

    Too bad PvP is terrible atm. :disappointed:

    Waiting in a castle / outpost for attackers and then defending with ranged weapons.
    It's the only way to play this game for me. Because of those crackbrained unbreakable and unavoidable immobilizing skills, in combination with animation canceling, macro users, proc sets and so on, I never survive more then one second if I've been confronted with one or more players in the field.

    Would really love battleground-ish pvp. Until then i really love rawl'ka duels (albeit, I spend more time in cyro due to the rewards and higher variety).

    Duel guilds are kinda dead for me because of all the CHANGING rules and complaining people. I also hate that several things are OP but I'd rather play where everyone (ab)uses everything the game offers and hopes for fixes by Zenimax than player made rules where few people push an agenda to their own benefit. I'd really love to go back to a time where duel guild rules were something like:

    no siege, drop ult before fight, blockjump when ready

    now it's pages of *** where someone tries to make sure he disallows everything he ever died to.

    For now, a bit of everything makes my day. Some solo / 1vX (small X) for good fights, some solo YOLO bombing against masses to just collect some AP, grouping up with 1-3 or 10++ people of my guild - whatever, anything is more fun than doing the same thing all the time

    It happens. I've had many situations where I intentionally ignore solo players or groups of 2-3 only to have them join the fight when the odds seem suddenly in their favor. Not all, but some function that way for some reason and thus have zero reason to complain about numbers at all.

    12man and anything up is pretty much godmode this patch if you do it right.

    They lowered the population caps in Cyrodiil two or three times, and the guilds behind the megazergs of old have mostly stopped playing. 12 people is a zerg IMO

    Would love to meet an eso player that has either never ran in a 5 man group or ran beside at minimum 4 friendlies for an extended period of time. I would bet they are as rare as deer in cyro...

    LOL at all the NA PC zerglings in this thread trying to convince I dont know who, console or EU players, that they are solo/small group players. Thanks for the laugh zerglings.

    Yes, I can't wait for CU either. Although it is meant to be an 18 month beta which hasn't even been announced yet, so probably won't be out till like 2019...

    I'm not sure I can stomach another 2 years of ESO.
