Your list omits what might be the most popular form of pvp in cyrodiil: zerg surfing in the lanes. Especially between Alessia and Sej, Ash and Nikel and Chalman and Bleakers.

Solo players, groups and raids may do this.

thanks @Alpheu5 ...I tried to kick off a discussion and it's just crickets chirping and blowing tumbleweeds :p

personally, I don't need objectives, points or rewards - i just need players to fight...

yes, not fighting proctatoes would be nice, not having to experience lag would be appreciated...

most importantly - i want to fight the other two alliances at the same time and be able to continually rez right next to the battle, so, I can continue to fight...

as for the size of the battle - the more the merrier (yes, yes as long as it doesn't exacerbate the lag)...

I wanted to include more, but polls are limited to 10 options, thus the "Other".

I'm more interested in the player aspect of fighting in Cyrodiil. The actual objectives and scoring doesn't spark my interest at all, they just provide ease of access to a change in scenery. Good fighting behind the Ghartok gate and good fighting at Vlastarus both make me happy, as long as I don't have to waste 5 minutes getting back into the fight (long loading screens, long horse rides).

Sure i play with others but i have the most fun and kill the most doing what ive done since console release... solo ganking. For the past 3 campaign resets on ps4 na Scourge (Oct,Nov,Dec) ive been number one on the leaderboards for the first 6-10 hours solo ganking. I end up quitting the race after my first play session because i dont have time for that... i have a job and college to deal with. Its nice to be able to jump in day 1 of a fresh campaign and show everyone what your made of!

Solo ganking will always appeal to me most because i can take weekly breaks from the game, jump in and cause havoc.. then take another break.

I swear I didn't pay @Alpheu5 any money to say that - but, it's all completely true...

sure, if it helps for picking out sides - let's have alliances - other than that - it's a pointless war...

Big Spoiler Alert - no one wins...

Probably a bit of everything in there for me which is what keeps me coming back
Logging on looking at map seeing what's going on and join in , usually solo to begin and if I get invited to group then sure
A good session is to do as many different things to keep it interesting constant zerging, bridge battles and sieges does get tiresome but I could easily play lag free all day or night :)

I like pretty much any type of fight as long as the sides are pretty even. It sucks to get just so overwhelmed that there is nothing you can do. It is better to be on the overwhelming side but still not as fun as a good even fight.

I love playing alone and maybe in duos or trios and try to find the 'vX' fights... Sadly it seems that the X now a days can be substituted by Zergs of 24+...

Sometimes the X seem to be a new concept of small scaling (8+ players pressing 'R' at the same time, lol)

I don't think 5 - zerg should be put all in one option but anyway...

I like 6-8 man group bombing 24+ potato's, bonus points if it's in a completely random location or a scroll is involved. I also like encountering top tier enemy groups of a similar size.

Wheres the simple option "solo roaming" and just fight whatever comes your way? ESO pvp community, the place where people desperately stress the "vX" as much as possible, despite being mediocre at best. Does it make me very special, when I tag myself as "vX" like an achievement?

In other games it was always just called solo roaming, not implying superiority, I liked that far better. You can`t influence what you fight most of the times anyways.

I agree with OP, zerging starts when ae usage is the predominant way of killing enemies and OP accurately identified the tipping point. Theres no difference in runnning with 6-8 and running 8-12 or 20-24. All the same braindead smarthealing powered bs.

Keep defense against impossible odds. When it doesn't lag out, I love the last emp keep defense with both enemy factions attacking you from sides. Always feels like an epic remember the Alamo moment.

@AverageJo3Gam3r said some of what I was going to say...

I enjoy 1vX these days. Not a tank at all, but getting better at holding my own. Using cloak has helped survivability.

I enjoy small groups (no bigger than 6). But being that I solo 90% of my time, grouping gets harder and harder. I'm fond of just 2 or 3 man groups though, as long as we all have the same play style.

I enjoy ganking in heavy traffic areas.

Basically anything I can do and actually feel like I'm contributing in some meaningful way. I strongly dislike large scale fights (12v12+) because it feels like you get lost in the zerg, and nothing you do really matters. I also dislike 1v50s because, well, I like to have some chance, however small, of actually winning the fight.
