Igenous Shield - Why does it scale off max health?

Please someone tell me that I'm reading wrong or old information. I made a DK healer and leveled him up, but now that it's time to make my final build I am reading that Igneous Shield scales off health!?

The most important skill in the DK class for a healer, and healers get punished because it scales off health. Why doesn't it scale off magicka?

    Because then you couldn't have the immortal shield DK tank build who makes bad DPS stop dying in hard dungeons. I like getting carried. Sorry for your loss.

    It's important to put some in health for DK . That shield increases healing and stamina regen .

    The main benefit from igneous shield for a DK healer is the major mending not the shield size. Wrobel has tried to make the morph useful for both tanks and healers.

    as some who dks heals why not give major mending morph scale of max mag and in used morph the tank morph. or give dks a passive that makes stacking a little health worth it for non tank builds

    Yes for healers its the Major mending part you want to care about. DK Healers has really good HPS, don't mess with it. It also gives Tanks a GREAT way of keeping your team alive. Most tanks have about 30k HP which gives about a 5k damage shield to 5 allies and 10k dmg shield to yourself. Its really strong. Healers gets a good thing and tanks gets a good thing. Don't fix what isn't broken.

    Also DK healer? yea no. For healing they have far less versatility for healing then other classes, Sorcs have their Pet and NB have their multiple dmg dealing heals. DK's have cauterize and Igneous shields.

    Also super nice for no death achievements, even if not carrying people who stand in red.
