Hello! Several new colors were datamined recently, and appear to be more dreaded dye-stamp exclusives. While dye stamps may be useful for nonsubscribers, they are not the preferred method of dyeing much of anything for the rest of us! We want to not only dye our costumes, but also our armor, and we prefer the same method we normally use for dyes. We are more than willing to pay for premium colors, but not as much if they're single use and costume-only! Please consider letting us buy dyes in this more player-friendly manner. I'm sure you'll see way more sales than what dye stamps alone can offer!

I support the Grand Official on his suggestions on style, thus making his "we" on the first post completely valid if any sassy-pants comes here saying "lol who are 'we'".

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

How about unlockable dyes vs just crown purchases

Why would anyone ever say (add this for real money)......
Just ask them to add it and allow them to decide how

Yeah obviously that's great too, but inasmuch as they've decided to monetize exclusive dyes, I'd like it to at least be available in a way that, you know, is actually useful for the majority of players. The orange from Witches Festival looked good, but no way I was spending money on a consumable cosmetic item, let alone one that can only be used to costumes.

I'm just copying and pasting some complaints I had about the crown store dye system a while back:

    1. Crown store dyes can only be applied to costumes and hats.
    2. You cannot preview the dye. You have to guess it might look ok.
    3. You have no ability to assign the colors to different positions. You can choose things like "Awesome Color Scheme: red, blue, red" or "Marvelous Sheogorath Color Scheme: red, red, blue". Which one will look best? I have no idea.

First, allow dyes to be applied to armor. Then a much better and more friendly way of using the dyes would be to allow the purchaser to preview the dye on their currently worn armor. After purchase they can then access it from a dye table and use that palette once and assign it how they want.

I almost always mix and match different armor styles so if it is ever changed to allow dying armors it would still be important that we be able to assign the positions. One piece may look great as, for example, red, green, red but another piece looks better as red, red, green.

Yeah I think there may have been a miscommunication. These are, as far as the data mining revealed, already coming. I didn't wake up today and think "hey you know what would be great? More dyes, but this time only for money". That was already a decision they came to, I'm just looking for them to be actually useful.

Offering them as permanent unlocks would solve 100% of the problems you are facing, at least to an extent. I suppose you still can't preview the dye to see how it looks, but if you were buying it anyway then at least you'd have infinite tries to mix and match how you please.

Just a note, you can preview dye stamps. You just need to click them on the Crown Store while wearing a costume.
I often try them on for ideas on color schemes and then go to the dye station to apply my own dyes.

Hmmm ....I see the other comment and have reread the OP.

It reads that they are more than willing to pay for premium colors but they want it for armor and not just costumes. In context that didn't say not to charge real money it says to charge and adds in the ESO plus concepts.

Well, I honestly read it a bunch of times and I can't see how anything the OP said can be interpreted like that.

You know how ZOS added Dye Stamps, and how they added exclusive dyes with it? What the OP is saying is that those premium dyes added only as Dye Stamps should be unlocks, not one time use consumables like they are now.

Yeah, it's so frustrating when they come up with some great piece of content and are like "How can we market this in such a way that the least number of people can enjoy it?" XD Like please, I am trying to throw money at the screen over here, there is a market for the thing you want to sell, just slightly different from its current implementation!!
